Very unique hotel in a good location in downtown Denver. The doormen/valet are awesome and make this a great experience. The daily free bourbon tasting is awesome as well.
Stayed for a few days for a meet up with friends. Right in LoDo, near the station, restaurants and bars on the door step but quiet (enough) overnight so a it's a great location. Staff were super helpful and friendly. The room was a good size though a little dated... comfy bed though!
We really enjoyed our stay at The Oxford Hotel. The location is fantastic—right by Union Station and within easy walking distance of restaurants, attractions, and downtown Denver.
The hotel has a lot of historic character and charm while still being comfortable and well maintained. Our room was comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and we especially enjoyed the bourbon happy hour. It was a nice touch and added to the unique feel of the hotel.
We also appreciated how easy it was to get around Denver from this location without needing a car. The Oxford was a great choice for our stay, and we would definitely stay here again.
The Oxford hotel was exceptional in appearance, courteous staff and hospitality. We appreciated the closeness to union station, Rockies baseball park, restaurants and 16th street, ( it has a free shuttle throughout downtown area). We choose the Oxford hotel for its history and were rewarded with so much more.
Very nice older hotel. Room was large and beds very comfortable. The breakfast and coffee service in morning for free was great. If you like bourbon, they have a tasting 5-6pm. The front desk and bellman were wonderful!
The hotel is right across from Union Station so a very central and cool location. Due to that fact though, there was a lot of foot traffic and “downtown” noise well past bedtime. So be prepared for that. The hotel itself was beautiful (elevators are on the smaller side and doors are accessed with actual keys) in an old fashioned, but attractive way. The staff was amazing from check in to check out and the onsite speakeasy/bar was very nice as well. It was a beautiful choice and we would stop in again. Note: there’s a spot called Pony Up within walking distance of The Oxford that’s worth a visit. They have AMAZING French dip sandwiches.
While a bit on the high side price wise, well worth it. Very friendly staff, clean and luxurious rooms, close to Union Station and lots of great dining options. Stayed there over the USA 250 celebrations and Denver was great.
Lovely old hotel that's been updated well. Loved that it had "water stations" on each floor for you to fill up your water bottle every day.
The bar in the lobby was great and the food was really good.
My only complaint was that on both Friday and Saturday night that we stayed at the hotel, there was SO much noise out on the street. We couldn't tell if it was a club that let out at 2:00 a.m. but the street was full of young people yelling. Cops and paramedics came by both nights. No idea if this was a one-time thing or if it happens every weekend.
I love the Oxford Hotel! It is the oldest hotel in Denver and and has a wonderful old world charm. The hotel is situated in a great location. it is a 5 minute walk to the lovely Denver Union Station where you can catch the A train to the airport and it is the meeting point for all the day tours. It is also close to many fine restaurants such as Jax Seafood and the Water Grill. The staff are friendly and helpful. Included in your stay is a nice continental breakfast served every morning in their main lobby.
The hotel is pricey with 5 different taxes and fees added on to the base rate jacking the daily rate up by $93.68. That said, you get what you pay for and I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend. ☆☆☆☆☆
Stop staff was very helpful and was courteous and polite with us gave us all the questions about how old the building was walked us through a lot of the amenities that the hotel had to offer and when we asked to change our room, they did it with no problem
Super cute rooms with old school charm. Location is very desirable. The breakfast was simple elegance (bagel chips and LOX, fruit, quiche, some pastries, coffee, tea, OJ.
