This is the most amazing hotel and we can not wait to return and stay again. They treated us like true VIP’s and we were upgraded from a standard room to a junior suite! Villa Cora is a fantastic property that looks and feels like many palaces I have visited! Amazing pool that made all the difference and is just what you need after a warm day exploring the city. If you are looking at traveling to Florence, stop looking, you need to stay here. Stay at any other property and you’ve missed an opportunity to have a unique experience at an amazing place in Florence.

We were disappointed to be charged $18 for coffee in the morning given the nightly rate and reputation. We visited the wellness area in the spa and were so offended that cell phones and loud talking was happening/permitted (?) from guests. This ruined our spa experience. The dining and concierge staff were wonderful but the establishment needs to review its priorities and policies.

The grounds, pool and terrace were beautiful. Unfortunately, the service was quite disappointing. Seemingly simple amenities like coffee and tea were assessed as extra charges, the shuttle shut down at inconvenient hours and some of the staff acted as though they were doing us a favor with their service. Not at all the level of service of a 5 star hotel.

If I could give this place 100 stars, it would be completely accurate. The hotel and grounds itself are a work of art and could have its own guided tour that people would pay for. We took hundreds of photos all around. The heated pool, steam room, and jacuzzi were so nice to use throughout our trip, especially to start our mornings. Most importantly, the service was exactly what you would expect at a place like this. Everyone was so kind, respectful, and made sure we always had everything we needed even if it was just a small gesture like a cup of coffee while we waited in the lobby for our taxi. A special thank you to Marco, who made us feel like the most important people in the world from start to finish of our 4 night stay. LUXURIOUS in every way. Completely exceeded our already high expectations.
