The hotel is beautiful and very atmospheric! Staff was wonderful! Rooms were lovely! A few issues for us were that that the tub is very deep which makes it difficult for older or short people to climb in. Although the hotel was beautiful the exits need to be better marked. If there was a fire it would be very difficult to exit the hotel safely.

The property is beautiful and is right in the old city. The room was good size and had a large bathroom. We had a lovely view of the hotel gardens. The pool area was especially nice. It was a little confusing for us to figure out exactly where to go to be transferred to the hotel. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Some of the carpets are showing their age and could us an upgrade. We would certainly stay there again.
Unique property within the wall. Garden view recommended. Dinner at hotel’s restaurant was 3+ hours- very good traditional French cuisine, so many couses. Skip lunch before.
The hotel & grounds are beautiful. The swimming pool is positioned privately with views of the hotel & church. There’s lots of outside shaded seating areas in the garden with good bar service. The restaurant is excellent and good value for the standard with lots of ‘extras’. I’d recommend the wine pairing at €50 pp for 3 glasses, it’s worth it. The location with the castle backdrop is enchanting. Breakfast excellent too. The whole hotels is very dog friendly and there’s a individualised name welcome sign by the water bowl, no bed or treats provided but €20 per night isn’t bad for hotel standards.
The service is exemplary throughout. The welcome feels personal, we were first timers but felt like we were loyal returning guests. The manager even remembered my dogs name the following day.
We only stayed 1 night, 2 would be enough but with the service you receive I’d happily stay longer. Highly recommend!

Very lovely location within the medieval city. Large room that probably could do with some refurbishment, as in other areas of the hotel. Staff were generally good but ordered a cab to the train station and the receptionist ordered it from the station to the hotel instead. If not for the cab driver making contact we would have missed our connecting train.
I had a fantastic stay! The room was spotless, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the spa services were top-notch. The experience at restaurant was amazing
The Hotel de la Cite is a beautiful hotel filled with helpful and attentive staff! We loved our room overlooking the city! Thank you for a magical stay!
What a gem. All the history, amazing location and a gorgeous little pool while staying in the old town, was a truly unique experience. Make sure you check out the display in the lounge of all the previous guests, including Churchill and Buster Keaton.
Beautiful hotel, ideally placed for enjoying the historic walled city.
Food was fabulous, the swimming pool an oasis of joy on a warm day
Staff could not have been nicer.
The location of the hotel inside the city walls was amazing. The staff, restaurant and amenities were excellent. This a wonderful place to stay and the hotel top quality in all aspects.
Charming "old world" hotel inside the medieval walled city. Front desk staff was extremely helpful. Enjoyed dinner at the hotel one night. Nice breakfast buffet. Loved sitting outside on the sofas with a cold glass of wine in the afternoon.
