What a shame! We started our journey in Savannah. Travelled to Sea Isle City, NJ to stay at our friend's condo. We then traveled to the Homewood Suites Great Valley to stay the night so we could attend my cousin's daughter's wedding. When we arrived, we checked in and we're so looking forward to chilling with a cocktail before we left for the reception. The suite was great, clean, well appointed, BUT NO ICE, ONLY ONE SMALL GLASS & ONE LARGE GLASS. NO ICE IN THE FRIDGE (it wasn't turned on)! I checked with the kitchen. Sorry - the ice machine is being cleaned today, a Friday night nonetheless! Long story - I had to go out and I found a WAWA. Question. Why in the world would a major hotel chain HAVE NO FRIGGIN ICE? Never experienced this before.

The unit left a lot to be desired when it came to cleanliness. We picked up multiple things off the carpet, hair in the bath area, dirty paper towels in the sink drain. We had asked for dry towels. They wanted us to go to the front to pick up. Light not working, maintenance did come change the light bulb. Besides the unit poorly cleaned the accessible unit was the furthest from the front desk check in. There was a door right next to the room but no ramp only very steep steps that were not safe and the door was very heavy to open. Front desk check in was fine and the young man very pleasant. Check out person was not at the desk and we had to wait for her, it seemed like she was in the back area eating. The breakfast options were nothing special, Other Hilton places we’ve stayed at were much better. Bathroom off lobby area messy and toilet paper just open sitting by the toilet. We would not stay at the Malvern Hilton again.

The hotel, suite and exercise room was great! The staff was very friendly. I will definitely stay again. The only things that could be better is the amount of chlorine in the pool. It was very strong! It burned all of the kid's eyes later that night. Bring goggles!! There was also a very loud knocking noise that came from the pipes in the shower. Otherwise it was a great stay.
