The hotel has a magnificent location. It is very well maintained, very clean. The food is very good and varied. The roof top bar great, the pool is great. And what is really worth mentioning: the staff is amazing, well trained, kind, patient and willing to help you with whatever you need. I really liked this hotel and will for sure recommend it.

The hotel is beautiful - really well designed, but it's just out of date is the main problem. When you check in there is major water damage on the ceiling right above the front desk. How does nobody fix that? it sets the tone for what to expect in the rooms. Mildew and grime in the shower, beat up furniture and flooring, a bit of a smoke smell that indicates things are old and well used. Property just needs to be kept up better. When we arrived our room was not available despite being prepaid two weeks in advance but they tried to resolve it. There wasn't much communication about it afterwards I had to stay on them which was a bit annoying but it got resolved. Best thing about the hotel is the incredible views. Basically a 10/10 in the views department. Location is very good overall

The hotel is a great location in the Bund, the roof top bar has one of the better views in the city, our only complaint was the rooms are extremely dimly lit including the bathroom which made it nearly impossible to do my skip. Our room had an unusual layout in that the TV was in front of the window with the main view of the river and the city.

The hotel is walkable to the Yuyuan garden and the Bund. It has a rooftop bar which has an amazing view of the Shanghai skyline. Among all the staff, Ms Lulu has stood out the most. She was helpful and accommodating to our inquiries and concerns. Staff like her can really make a difference in a guest stay experience.

It is absolutely disappointing that the map indication for the hotel address in Expedia is NOT the location of the hotel! The map showed that the hotel is located next to the park, at the junction of FuYou Road and Renmin Road, and it turns out the hotel is actually located ZhongShan Road and Dongmen Road. Being said that, the location is still good as it is at the side of the River. Hotel room is a bit old but comfortable, breakfast is good and staff can speak English well.

Room design is chic and eye catching even though some room conditions are no longer top notch (decaying door frames, faulty toilet door). Clean and good sized room, very comfortable bed. Breakfast spread was not the biggest but decent, even though it’s the exact same items for both mornings we were there. Was stuck inside the bathroom due to faulty door mechanism but the team reacted swiftly and professionally, and excellent service recovery from the team. Overall a good stay.

We stayed one night. Overall great experience. Great location. Minutes walk to the Bund. Across street from the financial center and 15 minutes to Yu Garden. Staff were professional and helpful. The restaurant had a great view and food was very delicious. A nice gym facing the bund. The room is clean; although a bit old. However, the bathroom is very spacious.

The most amazing thing about this hotel is the view. It’s absolutely stunning. I booked a standard river view but got upgraded to an executive suite, it really was a special one. It’s right next to the Pujiang River, unlike most other river front hotels that have a main road between them, this one is literally at the river side walking path and the river cruise dock. This is unique and unbeatable. Walking distance to Yu Garden (around 15 mins) and the view from your window is really amazing. The service was a bit hit and miss. No bell boy when we arrived (8pm) and I had to take the luggage trolley myself to the taxi, loaded my luggage and pull it to the lobby. But they had no problem when I asked for a later check out, so that was good. Amenities in the room needed a bit TLC to meet the five stars standard. Overall it was a present stay.

Location is good but rooms have musty smell. The plug for hair dryer kept coming off from the main socket. Cleanliness was average. We were disappointed that we were given city view instead of the bund view even though we have booked for 8 days. Should have indicated if not cancel the booking. Counter staff was not friendly on the day we arrived. (Arrived at around 8 pm) Only one guy at counter and he looked tired. He even gave us the wrong key for one of our rooms and we have to keep all our luggages in one room first.
