Stayed at the Maverick to visit my family and experience the Alamo and Riverwalk. We went to a concert at Frost Bank Center. It was very convenient to Alamo and Riverwalk. Staff was very helpful with different restaurants and places to visit. Short Uber drive to Frost Bank Center. Would book there again

The Maverick felt like a hidden gem. It is situated perfectly in downtown SA. The building itself is charming and bears some history. The room itself was just perfect, and the fact that it came with its own kitchen just made it that much better. Getting around was easy and the staff was extremely helpful and pleasant to talk to. 10/10 and would definitely book again.

Check in and room access done online (no physical key) so it was so convenient and fast! The first room we got have that continuous noise that we first try to sleep on it, but we can't. We requested to changer room after midnight and the team was helpful to accommodate this accommodate this. The next room doesn't have the continuous noise. It was facing the street so occasional traffic sound was heard but not disturbing our stay/rest. We able to stay and rest in this sexond room with convinient and satisfaction. The facility and room have this rustic vibe, whilst the room keep modern amenity and clean. Kitchen applianch were complet and convinient for longer stay too.. we only stayed for 2nights so the coffee machine is what we used most :)

The staff were super helpful and friendly and the room was really nice! We loved the aesthetics of the building the style of the furniture in the room. No pool and finding the laundry was a bit confusing but it was free so can't complain! Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic stay ! Location and price was perfect. Daly at the front desk was super helpful and understanding, although they have limit hours open for front desk - I felt looked after and supported. Will stay here again.

I gave it four stars because the penthouse suite was dusty. As soon as I laid on the bed I noticed that dust was flying around. My wife and I have allergies so we noticed it right away. We understand that hotel rooms are not always perfect and thats ok. Wehave rented it in the past and had the same issues of dust and dusty floors. Hopefully they do a better job of dusting next time. We will still come back because we love the view and especially the staff that goes above and beyond to do their job. Celia has always been very accommodating with any questions or help. She is a very good asset to this business and takes her job seriously. She is super sweet and there to work. Thanks Celia :)

The Maverick was a great little hotel in downtown San Antonio, just one block from the Riverwalk's restaurant row area! It has a great history and is decorated in such a nostalgic theme! The staff was super and helpful especially at check in as it was late! Cece(?)was a Godsend! The hotel is a little hard to find with a very small curb loading zone, and parking was around the corner at the Hilton Garden Inn. Not the most convenient or inexpensive but doable. Walking was easy to most places.

Near the riverwalk area. Cute building and rooms. Loved the subway tile and sleek look. Used the kitchen too. Had a few issues with the door combination and the internet but the staff was very responsive. Loved the quick responses to my text messages. Would recommend and would definitely stay there again. Expedia even gave me two drinks to a whisky spot. Nice surprise.
