Shelter Island is one of our favorite places to stay in the San Diego area. It has a quiet, island-resort feel that makes it easy to relax and unwind. The rooms are spacious, and we especially appreciate that the air conditioning isn’t the typical loud single unit slapped into the wall. The rooms themselves are comfortable, although the property overall could benefit from some updating. That said, we have no real complaints and enjoyed our stay here.

Great place to stay for a family, great place to stay for a work trip, great place to stay with a couples trip to get away for a couple days. Staff is amazing, security and parking is great, restaurant is fresh and delicious, pools and hot tubs are great for kids and adults after dark. Nice views everywhere, nice walking path too, great local spots within walking distance or a short drive and most places nearby have ample parking too.

I have to say, I have not frequented best western too often how ever I will be making reservations here once a year, I love the location, the place was so chill, my kids had a great time and no stuck up employees! We will be back next year- oh I loved the kitchen it was handy with my infant twins and toddler

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful Stay on Shelter Island I really enjoyed my stay on Shelter Island in San Diego. The property was very well maintained, and the surrounding community was just as clean, attractive, and welcoming. My room was clean, comfortable, and relaxing, which made it a great place to come back to after a day exploring San Diego. One of my favorite parts was simply sitting outside and looking out over the marina. The boats, water, and peaceful atmosphere made for a pretty cool way to relax and enjoy the beautiful San Diego weather. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout my stay. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again. Shelter Island was a great choice! 🌴⛵🌊 Breakfast 👍Far enough away from the flight path of the airport
