A lovely stay to end our road trip across Iceland. Very clean and comfortable room. While it was further east from the city center than I realized in person (rather than just looking at a map), it was still very convenient and things were accessible via a short walk or short drive.

Love that there's free tea and coffee all day. The rooms clean and comfortable. They don't have a restaurant but there is a food court 5 minutes walk away. The location is close enough to walls into town but the area itself felt a bit liindustrial. Not a big deal as it didn't feel unsafe. A big plus for us the there is plenty of parking outside.

This hotel is like a secret gem that you want to keep to yourself, except that wouldn’t be nice. The location is great for walking around and exploring Reykjavík, parking is free and the rooms are terrific. HP at the front desk is so nice and welcoming, and seems to always be there. If you’re tired, you can have an excellent bowl of soup in the lobby for dinner. Very comfortable hotel. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

I love the sitting room in the front very comfy area to relax after a long day. I do wish the restaurant had more food options for lunch and dinner as often as you get back you don’t feel like going back out to eat a meal.

When booking hotels in other countries you dont quite know if it will be where you want it to be. You can Google map etc. But never quite sure! Hotel Eyja was within q5 minutes walking g of the city center and EVERYTHING you want to do! Excursions we're able to pick us up at our hotel. And the hotel was clean and nicely done! Definitely will return here again if ever back in Iceland! Highly recommend!
