We always stay at the Doubletree during ACL due to their suites. Its a solid clean hotel. There arent many options for dining w/in walking distance. There is a Starbucks 1 block away, Texas Chili Parlor is nrxt door. We did walk a couple blocks to a restueant that was really good. My only complaint is the lightong in the hotel is bad. Even in the bathroom lights are dim. Otherwise a great centrally located horel.

The staff was super nice, and the room was very clean. The only thing is we didn't have any soap, and I found. razor (not sure if it was used or not) in our bathroom. Other than that, everything went very smoothly! Would come back again!

Staff were helpful at the front desk and at breakfast. There were two issues with the room, one of which I appreciate that the hotel can do nothing about, which was the loud A/C unit from the adjacent building, the other however was the filthy balcony, which had cigarette butts all over the floor and lots of pigeon droppings which looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a long time.
