Palacio Duhau is a beautiful hotel in one the nicest areas in Buenos Aires. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The only complaint I have is the small quantity and choices of the buffet breakfast. The rooms are nice and spacious. I would definitely stay here again.
All excellent with exception of breakfast. They need to improve the quality and freshness of the pastries. A cafe and bakery around the corner (Dos Escudos) has a much higher quality products.
The place is amazing, the staff is welcoming but in the restaurants / cafe / bar they can be a bit slow, really attentive but slow. The property makes up for it, great beds, great accommodation and good food.
My stay was excellent at Palacio. The service there was outstanding. Having a butler help with reservations and bookings was extremely helpful. I would recommend staying here. It’s very walkable to common sights nearby. The cemetery was just a few blocks away. Breakfast was great, and the room size and amenities were top notch. I didn’t realize it at the time early on but a 10% tip is customary. Don’t second guess booking this former palace (yes, it was formerly someone’s home). Tons of history here.
The room was very clean, however housekeeping wasn’t always consistent. Forgot to replace the nepresso caps sometimes and drinking classes. The check in staff and concierge very excellent. I prefer to stay in the Palacio part of the hotel the restaurant there is very pretty. The rooms are spacious great tub bidet and showers. The only complaint was one night we sat at the bar for 20 min and were not even acknowledged nor ask what drinks we like. We left to Four Season which was a short walk

Disliked: Staff & service
Not worth it - book elsewhere. Very basic rooms with frustrating issues and unfortunately the service and inflexibility to accomodate guests lets the hotel down.
The room also had a lot of construction noise through the day, the automatic light system in the room does not work properly and we had to find ways to cover the lights because they would not turn off and the last night one of the main entry lights would not turn off an had to contact maintenance around 1am after 30 minutes of fighting with the light system to go find switch panels outside to get it turned off.
The hotel was also not accomodating for an unplanned change in our itinerary. We had three rooms booked and unfortunately had to leave a day earlier due to an unplanned schedule change. Colleagues in two seperate hotels close by also in 1the same situation and those hotels were extremely accomodating and offered a credit to use the last night on a return trip - no questions asked and booked with same booking conditions.
Duhau reception staff said to contact reservations, reservations could not care less, the manager tried to be nice in email and offered 1 night credit to return for 1 person. Not a great welcoming experience for guests from far away spending thousn
Overall, Palacio Duhau is a beautiful, luxurious place. Their spa is excellent, with a 25-metre pool and great massage therapists. The only downside is the service. The main breakfast restaurant is great, with one hostess serving very quickly, with the right attitude and attention. However, the staff in the Piano Bar are plentiful but disorganised; once we waited 20 minutes for our coffee. The last disappointment was waiting 25 minutes for our bags to be brought from the room after checkout. It really depends on the person if you are cared or ignored in many situations.
Palacio Duhau is touted as one of the most luxurious stays with top notch service in Buenos Aires. The palace is fantastic, rooms are ‘meh’ at best (think of hotel room for convention center guests) offering nothing out of the ordinary, staff -overall- appear
