Had a great stay for one night. Comfy beds, in a large room with lovely views over lake. Restaurant was busy but food excellent. Breakfast was included and also fab with lots of choice given. Friendly staff and would highly recommend this property. Great value for Iceland
This was a nice hotel with an excellent restaurant for dinner and the best continental breakfast of our whole trip. We only stayed one night and did not use the spa, which you have to pay extra for, but it is there for those who wish to do so. Close to town and great views of the lake. Seems like they are working to landscape the property as well.
This is possibly the best hotel in Iceland. Staff were very friendly, the room was lovely, and the food was out of this world. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Great history in this hotel. Roads were closed to original hotel and this hotel didn’t do anything less than be impressive! Excellent tasting menu! Views, and excellent staff rooms and spa! Thank you !
Pleasurable experience and stay
The hotel had an updated rustic appearance inside and out. A Nordic touch that was well presented made it personable and functional.
Rooms were clean, service was well in line with expectations, and noise level was as quiet as could be.
Although the first steps out of the vehicle presented us with a slight bit of a dairy farm smell, the oder did not affect the core of the hotel. Yes there are cows several yards away.
The town is walking distance from the hotel and has a grocery store, hardware store, and restaurants. We made the mistake of visiting the town to eat when we should have ate at the restaurant at the hotel.
Great location and beautiful hotel. I would definitely stay here again. The complimentary breakfast also was a game changer.

Clean, spacious and quiet room with a lake view. Comfortable bed and great breakfast (included in price). Spa (sauna and hot tub) was nice, although was a small extra charge.
