Charming property ideally located for exploring the old town. On arrival it was a short walk from the taxi through the pedestrian streets but a member of staff was waiting to guide us and assist with the bags. It was October and the main restaurant was only open for breakfast but there are plenty of restaurants very nearby.
Wonderful hotel in very convenient location close, but not too close to the old town. Loved the aesthetics and amenities as well as very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend this hotel.
Great location in the heart of the old town, we were very happy with the large room with mezzanine bedroom and private terrace as well as a smart tv (not that we watched much) was great to connect to for music/news etc in the evenings.
Service at the breakfast was always very good as was the food.
For the money everything was spot on and would highly recommend this hotel!
Beautiful hotel on the pedestrianised area of Chania in a very central location just behind the waterfront - convenient for a multitude of restaurants and bars - with very knowledgeable and extremely helpful staff
We loved this hotel. Breakfast in the morning was a plus too! The staff was so nice and welcoming and the room was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!
The room was clean and comfortable, although the mattress and pillows were extremely hard for my taste. The lady on the staff who assisted us—I unfortunately forgot her name—was exceptional: very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The hotel is also pet-friendly, which we greatly appreciated, and the breakfast was excellent.
The main issue was that our room was on the third floor and there is no elevator. Going up and down meant climbing close to 100 steps each time, several times a day. This was exhausting and, in my opinion, is something the hotel should address or find a solution for, especially for older guests or anyone with mobility limitations.
That said, if you are comfortable with the stairs, Serenissima is an excellent place to stay. It has a great location, wonderful staff, excellent breakfast, clean accommodations, and the added benefit of being pet-friendly.
A beautiful boutique hotel, perfectly located for exploring Chania and close to the harbour. We stayed in a standard room (no 1) which was very clean and comfortable but not spacious. The a la carte breakfast was fantastic - the best hotel breakfast ever!
A lovely hotel right in the centre of Chania’s old town. We had a really nice stay and fantastic breakfasts throughout the trip. Note that I have a lot of allergies and they were catered for. So thank you very much. The only thing was that our room had one window which looked out onto the courtyard. Meaning if you had the blind open you didn’t get any privacy. I’d suggest a netted curtain here so that you can have both privacy and daylight. Otherwise a lovely trip with very accommodating staff.
Serenissima is situated in the heart of the old town. There is no car traffic in the area, so the hotel staff has to meet your taxi at a prearranged spot and lead you to the hotel. The hotel is an old Venetian/Ottoman house that has been nicely converted. The room we had was large, clean and nice. The staff is always helpful and the breakfast is good. The one criticism is that there is no handrail along the top flight of steps going to the top floor. I'd strongly recommend asking the hotel staff to help you with your luggage.
What an amazing hotel! The room was beautiful - made me wish we’d planned more downtime just to enjoy it. The staff were so kind and went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. A perfect stay!
Great location, great staff, fantastic breakfast! Highly recommend. Only issue is parking because old town Chania is not accessible by car, so you have to find parking about a 1/2 mile away and walk. Still worth it, just be prepared for the parking spot hunt. (We found parking garage, and paid about 25€ a day)
