Best shrimp, and grits we ever had for breakfast.??? Dinner in the restaurant was amazing. We had the grouper and the steak and both were wonderful. The room was beautiful. Love the turn down service. We absolutely loved our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. The mansion is beautiful with so much history and our room was very comfortable and surprisingly quiet. The bath was wonderful especially with a fireplace right there. We ate at the restaurant which was incredible- had the two tasting menus which was so fun and highly recommended. Parking is a breeze. But would have to say the best part was the lovely gentleman that checked us in as he’s a gem! The staff is so friendly and cannot do enough to make you feel special. The hotel thinks of everything that travelers always appreciate. Free bottles of water by the back door, chocolates on the pillows at night, turn down service, free breakfast, free cocktails and appetizers. They also have Brigerton music playing throughout the mansion. Service was top notch. Took us a couple of hours to get the room warm. Drafty, slow to heat. Bathroom was up 5 steep stairs, and our bath ceiling was about 6’ high. Beautiful small “library” common rooms to enjoy a book and a glass of wine. Circa 1886 was excellent. Breakfast was the best part!
