We recently stayed at the Pera Palace and our accommodations were fabulous. This old historic hotel did not show any signs of its age. The buffet breakfast is a real added treat with an incredible array of choices. The staff is very attentive and when we checked in our attendent accompanied us to our room via the old historic elevator.
We stayed in a wonderful room at the end of a long trip. The staff were very helpful and we got into the room early which was really appreciated.
The breakfast was lovely with lots of variety to choose from.
I would recommend this hotel for a special stay.
This historic Hotel was perfectly located and within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. The multi lingual staff was extremely accommodating and professional. Would absolutely love to return.
Very large room. Clean, well-maintained, elegant vibes. Helpful staff. The restaurant is only open for breakfast. The area has a collection of high-end hotels and little else. All the tourist destinations are a substantial taxi ride away.
Property conviently located, staff go above and beyond to assist. By far one of the best breakfast buffets. This is our choice of properties when visiting Istanbul.
Pera Palace is an amazing, beautiful, historic hotel with absolutely wonderful staff and very good and bountiful breakfast selections. Staying here will make your visit to Istanbul exceptional.
Return to the late Ottoman Empire and imagine yourself freshly arrived from the Orient Express. Pera Palas commands instant relaxation and repose from the bustling city. A short drive to the old city with fantastic views from the higher floors and surrounded by lovely side streets with cafés and restaurants tucked down alleyways. The public rooms and guest rooms are beautiful. The history and grandeur of the hotel is surpassed only by the incredibly warm and gracious staff who make you feel a part of their family despite the ornate surroundings.
Highly recommend this hotel. The living history here is amazing. Both the front desk staff and the Concierge were extremely helpful. We loved seeing the Agatha Christie room. The Pera area is very exciting too. Great restaurants all around. I would definitely stay here again!
It’s a historical landmark and the “fin de siecle” atmosphere is still maintained and felt, although rooms and amenities are up to date and very comfortable. Lots of little elegant details. Delightful stay.
Excellent hotel. Friendly staff. Comfortable room and bathroom. Very clean. Courtesy water, fruits. Near Istiklal Street and easy access to most tourist attractions. Highly recommended.
The hotel is a beautiful, historical landmark located in a great part of town. I was underwhelmed with the level of service. We were given a room on the first floor knowing there would be a huge wedding that night with music blasting until very late at night. We enquired about a scale and they said there was one in the room which was incorrect. They told us they’d send one but it never happened. We had to go back and ask for one ourselves and the attitude seemed to be of annoyance. We asked for a calf-hour late checkout and were told…NO!
We were initially excited to stay in such a beautiful place but were very turned off by the service level.
Beautiful old property. Unique history. Nicely located. Obviously dated it’s been there since 1892. But they’ve done a good job of keeping things up. Breakfast buffet looked good, but we never ate it. Staff were quite helpful all good.
If you're traveling to Istanbul, this is the place to stay. Period. Excellent location, walkable and plenty of taxis/ubers. Extremely intelligent and helpful staff. A hotel with a history - in some areas a museum. Definitely come for drinks or tea here if you're not staying but really, this is where you should stay.
