The hotel was very clean, and the staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. For such a large hotel, I was shocked by the lack of luggage carts. Upon our arrival, no carts were available. A staff member, who was cleaning the front doors, went to each floor until he was able to find a cart for us. However, my in-laws had the same issue when they arrived the following day, and there was no one available to get a cart for them. After traveling many hours, it was frustrating to have to search the hotel for an abandoned cart.
During our stay, we enjoyed some time in the Pub. Overall, the food and service were good. They allowed our group to hang out, watch football, and play games, which was great for our team. However, the temperature in the Pub and throughout the lobby was too cool to be comfortable without an extra layer or two. The staff did try to accommodate, as I saw a small portable heater in one area.
We were all disappointed that there wasn't coffee in the lobby. There was a single-cup coffee maker in the room, and coffee was available with breakfast for those willing to pay $25 a person. Also, self-parking was an extra $27 per day, although the parking lot was never close to being full. This hotel was already more expensive than other nearby hotels.
While the hotel was nice, the extra fees and lack of simple conveniences like available carts, comfortable indoor temperatures, and coffee would make me think twice before booking again.
