If you love history, the beautiful antique classy decor, then this place is definitely for you. Staff is beyond helpful, kind, and welcoming. I loved everything about The Ponchartrain. Bed was super comfortable, and the area is so quiet.
Overall great service from the moment we checked in, we were greeted with a text message asking about our stay and if we needed anything. Also very spacious rooms but with that Nola charm.
The room was clean and I loved how spacious it was!

Liked: Staff & service
Carpet in room was dirty in places .. beds /pillows average , had to call for shower wash and shampoo , would not pay more than 200 a night for this property . Parking is 55 a night . Staff were courteous . Did not eat at property .
Our stay was wonderful from the time that pulled up to the curb until the moment we pulled away from there three days later. Our room was spacious, exceptionally clean and beautifully appointed. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. To say that we enjoyed our dinner at their restaurant, JackRose, would be an understatement. The ambiance and staff , absolutely charming and the food was beyond delicious. Even if New Orleans was not one of my favorite places to visit I would come back just to stay at the Pontchartrain .
I love the Ponchatrain! I stay here regularly when I come into town to visit my sister. I sleep like a baby and the le labo toiletries is such a lovely bonus!! Great uptown location as well
We loved our staycation at The Ponchatrain Hotel. It was very easy and fast to get our car whenever we needed it. The staff was excellent, especially Debrionna ( I know I didn’t spell that correctly) she was extremely sweet and made us feel very welcome. She even helped my fiancée to get a bag of ice when I hurt my ankle walking nearby. The only problem was that there was a lot of people in the hotel at night going to the rooftop bar. A little too noisy and crowded but as soon as we got to our room it was quiet.
Of all of the hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. My room on the 5th floor with windows facing the street and side street was the quietest I have ever stayed in. From the bedroom I couldn’t hear any street noise at all. You didn’t hear an obnoxious loud toilet flush and couldn’t hear it at all from the other room. Chairs in living room a little stiff but it was a great room. Was very happy.
Lovely view from the room, great bed and room was large and comfortable! Nice with bathrobes! Great views from rooftop bar!
Great location. Free parking on the street! Street car stop right outside hotel. Great neighborhood to walk in!
The rooms were clean and spacious! The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Excellent neighborhood with shopping and restaurants. The tin roof and bayou bars were top notch
