For the price we paid, out room was a nice junior suite with totally separate bathroom, sitting room, and balcony. The value at this resort for what you get it excellent. Overall, it was great. No reservations at the restaurants but if you go about 40 minutes before, they will put you on the waiting list (was around 40 min for each one) then go for a drink at the bar. The beach was fantastic.lots of seats on the beach.

Staff and beach were AWESOME! Great Bartenders! Morning yoga with Ivan is a nice way to start your morning. Loved the coffee & Ice cream shop! Food was okay and need a better system for restaurants. You are not able to make reservations and must go early and put your name down or you will be waiting over 1 hr to get seated. The Italian and Mexican food was the best options. Taco bar at the pool was on point!

We had an ocean front room and it was beautiful as well as spacious. Bartenders in the lobby bar were very friendly. The bar could use a few more tables and chairs. It was a fun place to hang out after dinner but not enough seating. We liked that there were so many options to get food. The taco stands by the pool, cafe that was open late and early, the grill, sweet shop and of course all the restaurants. We loved the Asian, Italian and Mexican restaurants for dinner. It would be nice if all specialty restaurants had pagers since they don't take reservations. There were some nights when we put our name on multiple lists to try and get in for dinner. We had to return to each restaurant check for an available table. We preferred the main restaurant for breakfast. The staff was very friendly and prompt in greeting us and taking beverage orders. One morning at Azul I had to get my own coffee even though there was staff cleaning tables all around us. Also the chilaquiles station would be better as a make yourself. There was rarely anyone around to make the chilaquiles and the two times we got them it seemed like it was an inconvenience. One negative was the number of times a day we were asked if we were interested in spa services when we were by the pool. It was 4-5 times a day, every day. Overall we had a great time and would return.
