Mexico City is an intense experience, which makes the solidity, helpful staff, beauty and excellent accommodations of the Gran Hotel all the more important…even necessary for a relaxed stay. So too is its location next to the zocalo. You are immersed fully in the experiences of the city, steps away from some of the most important monuments, yet able to comfortably retreat for quiet contemplation. We planned on eating breakfast outside the hotel but quickly learned that the in-house breakfast on the terrace was well worth the price as it sets you up, and fuels you up, for the hectic day ahead. Can’t say enough good things about the helpfulness and cheeriness of the staff: over & above the call! We stayed for ten nights.

We love this hotel. we have stayed here 3 times on vacations to Mexico City. It is the most beautiful hotel in Mexico City with a tiffany-stained glass ceiling over the entire lobby and Effiel wrought iron elevators and his works all over the lobby. The staff is unbeatable, it has 24-hour security at the door, a view of the Zocalo from the restaurant. the rooms are elegant, and well appointed. the location on the Zocalo is unbeatable to access everything in the centro historico area.

We really enjoyed the stays in the hotel Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Great location which is just beside the plaza and easy access to everything. There is a lounge my husband love to go and rest, lovely. The staff gave my baby a lion doll with the hotel name on it the day we checked out. It made his day. Very sweet
