The staff was so friendly and helpful. I was very impressed by that! The kitchenette was helpful since I ran the Long Beach half marathon in the morning.
This place has a great location! We were in town for a Championship series for the Pioneer Baseball League, so we didn’t explore the downtown area, but looked like lots of great shops and restaurants walkable. Bed was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
Overall, the place was nice well-kept and very clean. The only issue I had with the room is that it was really small. If the room was bigger and had more room to move around in, it would have been one of the best rooms I've stayed in since I do some traveling from time to time.
Lost track of how many times we've stayed here. Its a great little get away. Lots of restaurants and bars that are walking distant. The area and the Royale has this old timey vibe to it that we love. This time around I saw a couple pull up with a 'Just Married' sign on their car, good vibes.
Was I guess what should be expected for a 3 star hotel in downtown long beach. But my expectations based on the pics was maybe too high. Front desk staff was helpful.
I love this place to stay when visiting my college student. The staff is amazing and the hotel is located in walking distance of lots of restaurants, bars and shopping. Sometimes the floor is a little dirty and maybe some of it needs a bit more loving but it just adds to the experience.
Rooms were clean and had ceiling fan and air con. Bed was really hard I'm use to a softer one. Location is great for getting around down town and close to the marina and beach maybe 10 block walk.
Location is great for downtown Long Beach, walking distance to some fantastic eats & beverages like Ammatoli, Sonoratown, Midnight Oil, Rose Park (coffee) and bonus - right across the street from Dirty Pepperoni. Room was a good size and clean, bed was super comfy. Personally could have used a desk space in the room to work but not a deal breaker. For those with accessibility needs, there are no elevators, FYI. You will need to be able to carry your bag or suitcase up stairs. Front Desk staff were friendly and helpful! I gave a 4-rating on some categories because the room could use some TLC re: fresh paint, newer towels. The hallway stairs (leading to the room) had a bit of a funky smell, could also use a deep clean or replacement. Overall decent stay, good value for what was paid.

The room was small but cozy. The bed was comfortable but the shower was very small and the long water took very long to come through. The AC made a massive difference but we found mold in the vent which was a little concerning
