I absolutely loved my stay here. Julia at the front desk was kind and attentive.
The hotel is beautiful and relaxing. The dinner I had there was also yummy.
I only wish they could be more careful about the freshness of items served at breakfast.
Amazing hotel with lovely helpful staff. All facilities spotless and you are aware they are regularly cleaning. They even went above and beyond to make us feel welcome on our anniversary!
We had the best day at the Santa Catalina! We could not say enough good stuff about the staff, especially Paco and Miguel, who often both worked in the bar by the lobby and the 1890 restaurant. Food was amazing. Service was amazing and the hotel was beautiful! Five stars in highly recommend.
The entire experience in this property was superb. Unparalleled service and if you have a choice to include breakfast, do not even think about it. Best breakfast ever combined with the hospitality of Canarias.
Lovely hotel with great ambiance. Breakfast selection was great with good quality. Parking garage is convenient, priced a little steep for guests but comparable to garages in the vicinity. The hotel gym was top notch. Dumbells could go up just a little higher but you can definitely get a good workout in.
Great staff, great facilities, and great location in a quiet oasis in the middle of Las Palmas. Very easy to park in the spacious parkhouse. Restaurants and bars were all doing a great job. The breakfast alone is worth staying there.
The hotel is well located in the city but set apart by parks, giving it a good combination of urban connectedness and natural quiet. The rooms are well appointed, updated while maintaining the original style. The facilities were all well maintained. Particularly noteworthy were the bell staff and bar staff, all of whom were consistently friendly and helpful.
For a visit to the island that I intended not solely be a beach vacation, Hotel Santa Catalina offered a great home base, providing an opportunity to see the everyday aspects of Gran Canaria while enabling me to venture to other parts of the island. Its facilities offered a comfortable escape after tiring days of farther flung exploration, without any feeling of "missing something" elsewhere.
I did come to appreciate the distance from other tourist attractions on the island. This said, the diversity of the island's sights means that any one location could be far from some aspect you might wish to visit. In this context, SHC offered a great experience without having the trip defined as a beach stay.
Excellent staff; all very helpful and friendly. Set in beautiful park area. A very well looked after historic building with lots of space to relax and a spectacular breakfast and settling.
It does not get much better than this. The hotel is inside a park, ensuring light and peace and quiet. Staff is attentive, rooms are large if a bit dated. It ain’t cheap, but I think it is money well spent.
We had a problem the first night as there was an event going on. Snd the noise was horrendous.. they eventually at midnight changed our room .. once we settled down and got over the bad start we ended up loving this hotel and highly recommend v
The breakfast was also very good
We would stay there again in a heartbeat
But would ask for a quiet area
Wonderful hotel
Beautiful hotel with a mix of historic charm and modern luxury. Staff were welcoming, breakfast was excellent, and the rooftop bar had stunning views. A little outside the old town but taxis are affordable and easy. Perfect for a relaxing, stylish stay.
