Love the hotel, and the staff, Mac and Anne were great! FYI…We booked a Snug, but it was really small. Great for a single but not two people with big bags.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was tiny but I knew that when I booked the Snug option. It was good enough for a solo traveler. Bed was super comfortable.
I loved the roof top bar, and the coffee shop in the hotel lobby.
Very cute hotel in the middle of downtown/Chinatown. You can practically walk everywhere from there, Powell's bookstore, Chinese garden, waterfront, even Washington Park. Rooms are pretty small, but cute. Nice rooftop restaurant. The coffee shop downstairs is pretty useless for breakfast, since they run out of pastries by 9:00am, but they also have a Filipino restaurant that offers very nice breakfasts, although expensive. Also, don't forget the speakeasy in the basement.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Sadly the location is a major drawback with so many homeless and drug addicts etc.
Great staff especially front desk.
Rooftop bar etc was cool. Food was ok.
Restaurant at the roof top is really good. Love haxton. Paris one is amazing. Portland was great overall. Upstairs restaurant, Drinks are strong. Only complaint would be the rooms were not insulated from the outside noises and roof top (stayed on the 8th floor). Could hear chairs and tables sliding around above us until the closed and a lot of road noise from outside. Made for a long night when falling asleep to wake up at 3am for a flight.
We had an amazing stay. Every single staff member we interacted with was warm, friendly and went out of their way to help us and share information about Portland! We will definitely be back and we will definitely stay at the Hoxton again!
I had such an amazing stay thanks to Mak. My room was unfortunately not ready when I had arrived due to AC issues. I decided to leave my bag and look around the city and after about 3 hours my room was ready. Not only was I given a free room upgrade but also a $50 credit to any of the restaurants in the hotel. Thank you so much to Mak and the staff, I really appreciate how accommodating they were and they made my stay amazing. I would 100% stay again in the future.
The staff were very welcoming, and offered us a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. We stayed in a room described as “snug”, which it was! but very clean and just what we needed to start our road trip through OR.
The room was small but spacious. The lobby was clean and professional yet casual. My only complaint was the windows were so thin you could hear all the outside noise. I am sure if the homeless population was less the noise outside would be less. Unfortunately spent most the night listening to people yelling and sirens.
