Very clean and cute place! Very convenient and everything you need is there. I will definitely be staying here again next time I come to SD. Housekeeping is there every day and the staff are all very nice and helpful people. Was here for four nights and it all went great.

Great stay for a couple. The area right outside is a tad rough, but for what you pay for this is solid, and you’re close to freeways. Staff replies within minutes with any issues. WiFi is a little slow when trying to watch anything so be warned. Rooms are overall very nice and modern.

Staff was very responsive and helpful. Nice to have a kitchen (though you need to remember to get oil, condiments, etc). Some pans, utensils, cups, and dishes available. Microwave and full fridge super convenient to have! Outdoor activity area was nice. Area surrounding hotel was a little sketchy but we parked on the street without issues. Biggest downside was the noise—planes overhead and more sirens than I’m used too (not sure of its bc hotel is located near freeway or the general area itself).

The Neon Elm was such a pleasant find! It’s definitely not your typical, traditional hotel, and that’s honestly part of what makes it so charming. The atmosphere is cozy, quaint, and inviting, with a unique character that makes the experience feel much more personal than a standard hotel stay. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and appreciated the comfortable, relaxed feel of the property. If you’re looking for something a little different from the usual hotel experience—somewhere with charm, personality, and a cozy atmosphere—The Neon Elm is definitely worth considering. I had a wonderful stay and would happily return!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Neon Elm, I was hesitant prior to booking as I was unsure how it would be to now have staff 24/7, however, the team was very responsive over instant message communications. I felt safe in the building at outside. The room was nice, as pictured, clean and spacious. Location very central in my opinion and I would absolutely stay here again.
