Andorra Ski Vacations

I’ve been staying here for years and it’s been through about three owners… this last visit may well be the last time. I’ve always just pulled up to the parking gate, pressed the button and they’ve let me in and then I’ve gone upstairs to check in. This time they wouldn’t let me in until I’ve checked in which meant leaving my motorcycle with all the gear in the Street whilst waiting for the check-in queue. The guy on reception was very grumpy to deal with. There’s plenty of other hotels!

Great hotel, great location, great food Stayed during a 4 day trip. Excellent location to the slopes 1 min walk through the cut through, lockers for ski equipment and the spa is small but is great after a full day skiing/boarding. The hotel is lovely, some rooms dated both types of bathrooms are shown in pics. Hotel was clean, staff were very lovely and helpful especially Gerorgina (in housekeeping, always happy and smiling) and Phillippe on the bar/restaurant lovely and chatty. 1 receptionist though wasn’t so friendly and made you feel as you were bothering her just asking a question, not the nicest of greetings on arrival. food was great Spa €12 each for 1hr Taxi’s are non exsistent in Andorra so if your getting dropped off by coach at the town bus stop you have a 1/2 mile steep up hill walk with all your luggage. You can get an uber so diwnload the app. We will definitely stay again but will arrange an uber Next time

Our first impressions were mixed as this was our first time at a ski resort in the summer and there was some building work outside of the hotel we didn’t know about that concerned me and a lot of the guests were more senior so we were skeptical . We quickly changed our minds. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, we all had plenty of room and the bathrooms were very generous. The sliding doors blocked the outside noise! Not sure where I’d hang all the wet ski stuff but not a problem this time. The food was great, good selection, especially good breakfast buffet. Staff lovely and helpful. Spa and gym very well equipped . Shame it wasn’t open for longer hours. Hotel arranged a massage for one of us, they were especially lovely to my son who happens to be Autistic, I was very impressed by their kindness in this regard. The entertainment was really good also and not just for families with little kids, everyone got involved. We liked the whole multigenerational vibe here . Soldeu has some excellent restaurants and loads to do at a very reasonable price. We will definitely back to ski ! Thank you x
