  • Pelican patiently waits for some fish scraps from the user of a man cleaning his fish. There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. There are also signs posted on the pier about how to handle a situation if sea turtles get caught.

Nice hotel rooms, comfy beds, beautiful views and great access to the beach but the resort fees at off season are a bit much when nothing they advertised is happening. It’s why I picked this place! The pools were cold and not many staff around it seemed. Everything closed early if it was even open. We will more than likely come again but not during off season.
