The space was central for oir family to get together and play/socialize when we weren’t up to being around a bunch of people at the resort. Great space.
We stayed at the Lagoon Tower for a week. Staff were very helpful and courteous. The suite was a good size. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. The dishwasher had seen better days, but still worked well. The kitchen was well equipped. The pool area was great. It had a little waterfall, a hot tub, slides for the kids, a bar with some food options available and there were lots of palm trees in the pool area. The location is great with access to other pools within the Hilton Hawaiian Village and tons of beach access. The sand is a little coarse with quite a few rocks, but probably common for Hawaiian beaches. The lagoon by the tower was a little smelly sometimes when we walked by, but the kids all seemed to enjoy playing in it. They had a couple luaus on the Great Lawn while we were there and there were fireworks on Friday night. The only really negative comment we had is one elevator was down which led to very long wait times for the elevator at times. Oh and it would have been nice to have dish towels/cloths for the kitchen.
The Hotel was great. The Staff was phenomenal. So helpful and friendly in so many ways. The Whole Trip was absolutely amazing.
Now the only things that arent on point. There was a LOT of construction. They were remodeling parts of the village which made it a little harder to navigate in a wheelchair. I believe a lot of it had to do with the hurricanes (yes plural) they had just gone thru the previous weeks. The only other thing would be the lagoon. Yikes. Absolutely beautiful especially with the little island in the middle. Oh boy does it smell bad!. Because the Lagoon is a seperate entity and doesnt connect to the ocean it doesnt have the natural filters of the sea so the water stays stagnant and stinky.
Also a shoutout to CJ's Delicatessen also in the Village, The Buttery Spaghetti with er. um, well more butter and garlic and a bit of Parmigiano. My son and I shared the pasta 3 times in the 2 weeks we were there.
Overall, best vacation ever.
When booking this hotel, you'll have to note which tower you're staying in. It was my first time staying there and ended up waiting in a 30 min line only to be told that I was at the wrong tower. Other than that, check in at the correct tower was super easy and the person at front desk was really nice.
The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed for our week stay. The kitchen had all the essentials to cook.
House cleaning were super nice and accommodating. To be honest, all hotel staff were really nice.
The pools were really close to the hotel and they also had one that had water slides, great for kids. The lagoon was a quick 2 min walk and the Waikiki beach was just behind it.
I would stay here again the next time I visit Oahu.
The 2 bedroom Lagoon Tower that we stayed in was very spacious. Our furnished lanai was very large as well. Our view was perfect. We had maid service daily. Having a full use kitchen worked well for us. There was a washer/dryer on every floor. That came in handy. This was my first time staying in this tower (I have stayed in the Rainbow tower my last 5 visits) The lagoon tower is now my favorite. I highly recommend the Hilton Hawaiian Village for a wonderful experience.
Great location! Our room overlooked the great lawn. Every night we could watch the luau or private events. It also had a great view for the Friday Night Fireworks show! Housekeeping were like ninjas, getting in and out everyday. They changed out towels even though we hung them to dry and reuse. And we always had extras on hand if needed. The one negative was the amount of people at the pools that were "reserving" lounge chairs, even though they were at the beach or other areas of the resort. While we wore our wristbands to identify ourselves as hotel guests who were allowed to be using the facilities, many others were not. It was disappointing that wristbands were not being enforced to allow actual hotel guests of being about to enjoy their paid amenities more
Hotel is very large and has many different buildings. Everything is a far away. There is only one gym amongst them all. We stayed in the lagoon building and the front desk is not a stop on the elevator. The parking lot is very big and using it is not easy. The views are beautiful and hotel was clean. Pools were very busy and you have to rent beach chairs (free at pool) and they do not have a half day rate. So If you get there at 2pm you pay full rate even though can only use till 5pm. Would suggest staying out of Waikiki. So busy. Very fun to come and see for night life dinner etc but would recommend staying out of city to feel the real beauty of Oahu.

Best for families. On the beach and great pools and a lagoon.
This property was great and we would stay here again. There are amazing pools and it’s in a very convenient location. The only issue was our laundry was stolen from the laundry room, this was disappointing and the hotel did not help look into security footage or seem too concerned.
Everything was wonderful at the lagoon tower, amenities, staff, cleanliness, views were all perfect!
Front desk at the main lobby should have been a lot more helpful in helping us find the right tower though - that was very frustrating after 15hrs of travel and trying to navigate it in the dark.
The Hilton grand islander is a very beautiful and modern property at the Hilton Hawaii village. The rooms and decor are beautiful and top notch. Stayed there several times and will continue to stay there in the future with my family.

I loved this resort. We had a pool, lagoon, and the beach just footsteps from our tower. We will definitely stay here again if we ever return.
The property was amazing! Not too spread out. Lots of staff, easy to communicate over text. Loved all the amenities of the pool, lagoon, and walkable shops/dining
