Post House Inn is such a charming place with delicious food, helpful staff and a setting like a movie. A walk around the neighborhood is so peaceful with beautiful homes and friendly people. A very lovely stay.
Loved our stay at Post House Inn and would love to come back! Everyone was so friendly, the place was charming and had thoughtful touches. Being an older house, you could hear noise from the restaurant below but it didn't bother us for sleeping. We enjoyed our breakfast basket delivered to our door in the morning -- so cute!
Everything about our stay was perfect. My daughter is an OBX fan and staying where they film the show was an amazing treat for her, plus the staff, food experience were all wonderful. We will be back! All of the special touches were wonderful. Thank you.
I am dreaming of when I can stay again! Absolutely exceptional service, accommodations, and offerings. My friend and I rode their bikes around Old Village, ate an amazing dinner on site, and took our nightcaps up to our room. We were impressed by the comfort of the beds, cleanliness, and the above and beyond service (ex: breakfast in bed!). Thank you, Post House!
The staff went above and beyond. They all are true gems. Especially Jacqueline. She’s just amazing helping us with our air con, fan and getting the TV to work. Kind, thoughtful and lovely. Every morning your staff treated us with such grace and happiness.
We spent time talking to ilish too who was so lovely.
Our meals there were exceptional.
We had two dinners there and enjoyed your bar scene!
Things that can be improved:
The fitted sheet does not fit the bed properly and always came up when we got into bed.
The towels could be replaced with new ones. Especially the wash cloths. They look a bit worn.
Only one spicket in our bathroom sink worked , the hot water. That should be fixed. In room 5
Maybe some q tips could be left for gusts too in bathroom.
But overall our experience especially with your staff was incredible. Everyone went above and beyond. And the Santal 33 was a special touch in the rooms! We will definitely be back.
What a glorious stay.
Thank you!
We felt like one of the family!
Wonderful property. Amenities were plentiful and attention to detail was just outstanding. Service upon arrival and during our stay was excellent. Check out was a bit disappointing. The clerk took our key with no acknowledgement or salutation. She barely even made eye contact so that was a little let down. You want to feel like your stay mattered but will still give high marks for an overall pleasant stay.
This ranks as one of my favorite stays in all of our travels! So many personal details and touches. We loved the village feel, and the staff accommodated every need.
I really loved this property. So much charm in this old house, but restored nicely with modern amenities. Having bikes available for use was perfect, and also fully enjoyed the bar, restaurant, and breakfast. Can't wait to come back!
If you don't mind paying a bit more, it's well worth it. Beautiful inn with great attention to detail. Not a far drive from Charleston - surrounding homes are beautiful.
Beautiful location, very clean and wonderful attention to detail. Hotel and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negative was that it was very noisy at night because of the restaurant downstairs. It didn’t get quiet until around 11 or 11:30.
This is NOT a negative review. The place is nice and the restaurant downstairs is excellent. But it’s just an OK inn, nothing special, very busy, not personable, and on weekends you get a basket with breakfast instead of a normal one. It’s a good 25 min to historical Charlestown . We went on a trip around the South and stayed in B&Bs throughout. This place cost the most money for least cosiness and comfort. They even charged extra for water in the room - the room that already cost almost $400 (holiday weekend, I know)
