Grenada Cheap Vacations

If you have ever been to Cancun, and loved the service from the staff. Don't go to Grenada. The island itself is a sorry crumbling infrastructure I would expect in a much poorer country. Coyaba Beach resort gets 2 stars..one for the best beach I have ever walked on, and 2 for the best ocean swim I've ever had. The stuff they had nothing to do with ! This place is well passed its lifetime. The Garden was beautiful, but the food sucked..bad. NO INDOOR DINING ! 12 degrees from the equator...I get it...hot and humid...BUT give us a place to have a meal where we are not sweating profusely the whole time, we started to go to the ONE restaurant, make a plate, and take it to our room for some comfort. The food was awful, we actually had to order local delivery for a meal, when we paid for All Inclusive. We felt very unwelcome from the unsmiling staff, we got incorrect instructions about times and directions to places on the compound. They didn't even have a simple map of the property for us to get around. My wife has limited mobility, so this was an important A-to-B request. Shower and water pressure were equivalent to a low-end RV shower I once rented. Please...find another place..Grand Anse Beach is Amazing ! But this resort is not. Additionally, the Grenadian people hate us, every single interaction, from the co-op bank for ridiculous money-changing, to a simple shop at the IGA, was problematic and frustrating. Be quiet, acquiescent and smiling...doesn't matter to them.

The property is right on a small, secluded & relatively quiet beach. It’s a smaller hotel, and we were there during slow season so it was very quiet. The food was a bit inconsistent. Sometimes service was really slow (like an hour from the time we ordered to when we got the food) and other times it was super fast. The fish & chicken options were consistently good. I’m guessing they had minimal staff due to it being slow season. Overall, it was a great affordable option away from the busy Grand Anse Beach area, not much within walking distance, but it worked great for our stay. It’s not fancy, but the rooms are clean & comfortable & we had a pleasant stay. You can’t beat the beach location!
