We were in town for the Zurich Classic and the Candlewood Suites could not have been more convenient. The hotel was well maintained. The snack shop/necessities store next to the lobby came in handy. Will definitely stay there again for the 2027 Zurich Classic.

GOOD: The staff was great and the rooms were very clean. The place was quiet and restful. Good location. Not in a busy area and easy access to stores, grocery, and downtown New Orleans is only 15 minutes away BAD: The wifi was horrible and utterly useless. It kept dropping and when it was connected it was slow. The gym and laundry area was very dirty. Dead bugs, dirty laundry. It seemed like no one paid attention to that. Overall it was a good stay. I would stay again. But to get five stars, the BAD items need to be addressed.

Sarah was the absolute best. I met her a few months ago & we chatted about my stay. I told her I needed to stay because my father was battling Alzheimer Dementia. She offered such kind words & had such a genuine spirit. So as things progressed with dad, I had no other thoughts than to go back to Candlewood & Sarah. When I made my final hotel stay to prepare for daddy's celebration of life, she immediately knew who I was. When I entered the property, she knew me by face & again was her kind self. The hotel is neat, clean & just what i needed. Thank you Sarah for everything.

We arrived in the evening, the entire lobby smelled like marijuana. The room had no ice bucket, the latch to lock the door was broken and didn’t work, and remote didn’t work for the tv most of the time. The room was hot even with the ac on the lowest setting. The staff was very friendly though.
