A truly excellent property and staff. Meal at Mustang last night was the best I've had anywhere in the past year. Rooms are up to date, spotless and nicely decorated. Can't say enough good things about this place, the staff and the food. Light years better than our stay at the Coronado Inn earlier this week. Will come back.

from the moment you arrive you begin to decompress. the staff at the front desk has a very calming and relaxing vibe, they offer you refreshments as you check in to your room. shortly after you can go to one of their many restaurants and enjoy happy hour with a friendly staff while you wait for the dinner bell to ring. the grounds are amazing in the history of the location is very interesting. within minutes you are transported from the hustle and bustle of Southern California to the relaxing ambience of a Time passed in Old California, the time of ranchos and gauchos. eventually you feel the layers of stress from the modern world begin to peel away as you sink into the hospitality and you relaxation of a five-star resort

This property is a beautiful complex. Lovely grounds, nice pool, nice restaurants, upscale rooms. That said, it’s expensive. Food and drinks on site are delicious but a bit overpriced. For example, the breakfast buffet is $45 a person without any alcoholic beverages and cocktails at the pool are around $20. We went there for our honeymoon and it was a very nice homebase for the week. Easy trip into the town of La Jolla to eat or into San Diego or Temecula wine country or even across the border into Baja California. There were a few times I wish the staff would have been more helpful but overall, it is a nice resort.

Beautiful property and amazing staff! We had such a wonderful stay at Estancia la Jolla. The hotel was such a nice, peaceful, escape! We loved everything- the plants, gardens, and whimsical touches. We had our wedding at Estancia and it was the BEST day! Our hotel guests loved their stay and the entire experience! They commented on how the good the food and service were. However, what really set this place apart from other hotels is the staff! Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and professional. They went above and beyond! The rooms were clean and stocked with water.

Hotel was lovely and well located . The “ pool view” room was not pool view unless you craned your neck from the little balcony but the room was a nice size . A very limited room service menu for dinner despite the extensive poolside menu for lunch which was odd . All in all a very nice place to stay.

I've stayed here a couple of times and love this hotel. My favorite is the outdoor patio area with fireplace and where you can enjoy morning cofees and late night drinks. Restaurant is cozy with great food. Small gym, but has all the essentials for a good workout. Pool area and bar is very nice. All the rooms we've had have been in very good condition. A couple of things they could improve is the timing of the room cleaning. Our room was not serviced until 5-6pm most days during our week which is not very conventient as that is the time we were returning to the room. This was the same on my last stay so it seems to be consistent. Also, the breakfast area music was way too loud making it difficult to talk so we took our breakfast elsewhere after the first few days.
