Great location. Check in process was fast and smooth. The only complaint I have is that the TV didn’t work and there was supposed to come someone to check it but it didn’t happen. For everything else is a great stay and accessible.
Perfect location. Nice view. Quiet. Nice restaurant on site with very friendly staff. Check in was a pain. Very close to MOMA and Central Park. Great restaurants around.

Liked: Cleanliness
It doesn’t offer the 5 star experience I would have expected. The breakfast was awful.; they ran out of coffee the day before, and no one replenished it the following morning, then the next day they only had decaf coffee, they have sliced bread, which typically would go on a toaster, but no way to toast it. They have to work out a few kinks before they can get better reviews. I felt that the staff just wasn’t on the same page and not knowledgeable. And, the room amenities were very basic.
Excellent hotel steps from Fifth Avenue. Beautiful renovation of an iconic hotel. The hotel also features a Felice restaurant onsite serving lunch and dinner.
Staff was very helpful and gracious. Any issues were promptly handled. Only issues for me were the AC system functionality (probably needs some explanation in advance to highlight that the AC detects motion) and the TV (seems to only feature Roku programming. I would have preferred Spectrum).
Lastly for awareness the hotel doesn’t have a doorman. The doors to enter are ornate and heavy. The property should reconsider this when people are pulling up in cabs with luggage.
Highly recommend!
After seeing the room it was nothing like what was shown in the pictures. The decor and furniture and cheap, nothing invested. Very dreary hotel rooms, reminds me of a hostel.
I walked in the room and walked out, got a new room down the street.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The hotel was a lower class property with very little investment in the furniture in the room rooms or staff training. I would call it minimalist for New York City.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable.
Check-in was supposed to be at 4:00 PM. We arrived at 2:30 PM with a 10-month-old baby and a 6-year-old child. We understood that our room might not be ready before check-in time, so we waited. However, at 4:00 PM we were told the room was still not ready. We didn’t receive our room until 6:00 PM.
When we finally entered the room, we immediately discovered that the toilet was clogged and completely unusable. Every time we flushed, it overflowed. We called the front desk right away, expecting the issue to be resolved immediately or to be moved to another room. Instead, we were told that nothing could be done until the next day.
As a result, my family of four—including a baby and a young child—had to use the gym restroom for the rest of the day, throughout the night, and the following morning. To make matters worse, the gym bathroom was very dirty.
The next day, around 12:00 PM, the “solution” they offered was to move us to another room that wouldn’t be ready until 4:00 PM—and that room only had ONE bed for four people. Completely unacceptable.
We declined, and only then did they send someone to repair the toilet. It wasn’t fixed until around 5:00 PM the following day.
The way this situation was handled was a complete disaster. At nearly $1,000 per night, this level of service is shocking. There was no sense of urgency, no concern for our family, and no effort to provide a reasonable solution.
