Doesn’t get better than this. The rooms made you feel like you never wanted to leave. Except that the lobby restaurant and bar kept calling your name. Location is walkable to all the major sights in Zagreb and public transportation is the best. This is a truly 5 star hotel and the staff and accommodations are all up to standards. Take an extra day to get joy the spa and other amenities the hotel offers.

This is a consummately elegant, historic hotel impeccably maintained and finished. Linens and toiletries are luxe. Furniture is traditional but plush. Every carpet, every bit of grout, and every table surface is clean. Breakfast was similarly elegant and worth the cost. Gym very well equipped. Location nearly perfect for sightseeing and quiet rest. My only criticism is that customer service was not high-touch, which seasoned travelers now expect from 5-star hotels. Registration was lined up upon arrival, with no one coming over to help two strapped agents. Multiple doormen stood at front with no one opening a door, greeting guests or offering directions.
