Heat didn't work very well, the shelf in the room was busted, there was mildew in the shower, the view outside the room was of the air conditioning units. At this price point, I would have just stayed at a "lower end" hotel.

The perfect getaway

I’ve stayed at the Blackburn many times now. Each and every visit has been peaceful and amazing. The rooms are always impeccable, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and the surrounding area is beautiful.

Thought check in was at 3 which is pretty standard. There were literally 4 cars in the parking lot but still would not let me check in til 4. Had a basement room. Room itself was nice. Down side: Could hear the glass door bang open and close every time. Upside: Beautiful facility and was fun to wander although was bummed the bar wasn't open (I came on a weekday). Did get the breakfast and was very impressed. Also had an issue at checkout. My key stopped working while I was loading my car. Had to go to front desk twice. She finally just came with me with the master key. But overall I would stay again.
