We enjoyed our stay- clean rooms and lots of options for food at the hotel. We didn’t have a bad meal there. We like the location of it as well- right on the strip
Great hotel choice for proximity to the stadium especially for concerts and is close to amenities like cvs, wallgreens and target. It has links to MGM for the monorail and to the Excalibur/Mandalay Tram making it easy to get to other places along the strip.
The theme of the property was an experience and it did not feel just like another casino. Plenty of restaurants and shops to choose from. The price was very reasonable.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Well kept in general, elevators were a little old but overall hotel was good and well kept.
Hotel property had everything you needed. We used the pool, casino, lots of restaurants in “The Park” and outside restaurant choices too. Rooms we well maintained and comfortable. We will be back.
Great selection of eats. Easy accessibility to shopping, Vegas strip and other Casinos nearby.
Friendly staff, very accommodating staff.
Only one exception, not sure if this applies to all rooms but mine had no coffe maker, no microwave and no mini fridge. But I would still definitely recommend to others.
We stayed there one night while BTS was in town. It was a small room but really clean, comfortable beds, and exactly what we needed. Price was high, probably because of the concert. I paid over $500 for the smallest 2 Queen room. Definitely not worth that but the room was really good. We'd stay there again.
Also, shout out to the ladies working at registration. They were so friendly and helpful when we checked in the morning of May 23rd.
Great location, had everything you could wish for. The only thing we found confusing was finding our room. Remember, the New York-New York Hotel has four towers. Make sure you remember the right tower you're in and the floor number. We saw so many people having the same trouble. By the time we worked it out, it was time to check out, lol. Still a great hotel and we would definitely stay there again.
Everything during our stay was amazing! Housekeeping kept our suite very tidy! The only thing that was a negative was the white powder with drug paraphernalia in the men’s bathroom. We reported it and they were going to clean it up. The powder was all over the floor and toilet paper dispenser. There were paper straws around as well. The biggest concern is if a child was in contact with it. No one knows if it was laced and could have been disastrous. We asked for feedback but have received a response or follow up. That is concerning.
The room was adequate and clean, but the property is showing wear such as shower needing to be re-caulked, old fixtures getting loose, and a smell of feet in the room. It's a casino, so it's difficult to escape the cigarette smoke smell but at least the room had air purifiers.
Included with the room was absolutely nothing - no coffee, waters, etc. Just older clean towels, a bed, and a TV. In typical Las Vegas/MGM fashion, absolutely everything costs money. There is an additional $45 resort fee per day, which seems ridiculous.
This resort has 4 or 5 elevator towers that are in different places throughout the casino so we had to drag our luggage through the casino to find the correct tower that matched our room.
We recently stayed at New York New York Hotel & Casino and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience overall. We booked a “view room,” but our view was directly onto construction, and the room sat right above the roller coaster. The screaming and loud ride noise went on until around midnight, making it really difficult to relax or sleep.
There was also no soap in the shower dispenser — something you don’t realize until you’re already in the shower. The towels were old and yellowing, and the shower head was literally coming off the wall.
To the hotel’s credit, when we complained, they were willing to switch our room. The staff even admitted they had already received complaints about that particular room and understood exactly why we wanted to move.
The rooms themselves are actually darling and clean, but be aware they no longer include mini refrigerators and have noticeably cut back on room extras and amenities.
Honestly, I have a hard time believing some of the glowing reviews are from genuine guests because our experience did not match the ratings at all. I probably won’t stay there again.
On a positive note, the casino location will likely become even more popular once the new baseball stadium is built right across the street, so I can definitely see it being a convenient place to stay for future events.
Super friendly staff, was able to assist in getting me checked in early and even upgraded to a room with an amazing view.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The hotel was in the midst of being remodeled so there was plastic and material all around the small entry lobby area. The room itself was pretty clean. The A/C was a whole issue. We had to move from our first room because the A/C wasn’t working. It was about 1am before we could be assigned a new room. The second room the A/C stopped working in the middle of the night and it was 82 degrees in the room at 3am. Waited till morning to report the issue and hopefully get a front desk clerk who was more caring than the night person who seemed annoyed that I reported the initial A/C issue. The maintenance works were extremely nice with a great sense of humor. We all got a good laugh when they found that someone had hid a box of off condoms in the A/C compartment in the ceiling. A/C is working, maintenance leaves. About an hour later the A/C shuts off. Whatever the issue they fixed it while we were out and rest of the trip it worked fine. You could tell when they pulled the A/C filter that maintenance was not being done on a regular basis. A shout out to the front desk day workers and maintenance, they were caring and helpful. Also a great big shoutout to the hotel driver who took us to JFK. It was horrible traffic and took about 2 hours. He was wonderful, great disposition.
FYI - because of the A/C issues the front desk clerk told me she was not authorized but would put in a request to have at least one night refunded. Why are agents not authorized to accommodate ?
