Very nice but with the renovation going on access to elevators was limited. Specialty restaurants were limited with their menus! The staff was excellent!

Property in a great location for walking and view of ocean. Staff were always accommodating. It would have been a more positive experience if we were made aware of the fact that the property is going through some upgrades/renovations and it was a little noisier than a normal RIU property that we have stayed in before was.

Our firsr room flooded, I suffered a back injury due to a fall during the water issue. We were finally swapped to a different room after complaining 4 times for our second room to have another issue with water coming from the floor. This was not a good experience. This stay was for my honeymoon and we did not enjoy our time. We felt very brushed off by staff regarding both issues.

We loved Riu Palace! It is under some construction but nothing that bothered us that much. The staff was fabulous, especially Rainy and Keyla! We loved them so much we went wherever they were bartending at each night. The shows were a lot of fun and the pool was amazing

Room smelled of sewer gas ,shower did not always drain, air conditioning did not work correctly, house keeping lacked ability to provide amenities such as hand towels and wash clothes with out asking for them

The room was not cold enough, and the construction noise was very loud and disturbing. The restaurants wouldn’t accept guests after a certain hour, even though they were open late, which was disappointing. The alcohol was quite watered down, and there were kids on the side where they weren’t supposed to be. Despite these issues, the staff was very friendly overall.

Overall food quality was 9 out of 10. Themed restaurants food quality - 10. Service was excellent. Great location to “downtown” restaurants bars and shopping. Our only negative about the property was mold in / around ceilings, especially the bathrooms. We will be back.
