Front desk staff were super helpful with checking in, loved the hot springs tub and vapor caves, beautiful setting, rooms were adequate although a bit dated and outside of the River lodge building was a bit rough looking with some peeling paint. Overall would recommend for the setting, hot springs and the food onsite from the Mineshaft.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, but adding a proper safety rail to the top bunk would make it much safer for families with children. The spacious shower was a wonderful bonus and something we really appreciated.

Room was very clean and renovated. Location is perfect, 7 minutes walking from Box Canon and 15 from hot springs pool. The view is so so beautiful. I was worried about the restaurant after I read the reviews but it's not right the pizza and burgers very tasty and the breakfast is so good and there's alot of variety it was very delicious.

This facility was really nice overall. The pool area was amazing. The breakfast was amazing. The rooms were a little dated, but served us well. The area that could use some attention was in the upkeep. The laundry machines were in disrepair, with less than half of them being operational. One of the two a/c units in our room did not work, and the shower dribbled steadily even when turned all the way off.

Walls are thin, neighbor to us was blasting what seemed like Metallica until 11:30 pm. I asked the front desk to help with noise control at 10:30. Made for a very long road trip the next day. In the shower both soaps were labeled body soap. I’m assuming one was shampoo? We did enjoy the hot spring pool. Overall, Price was too high compared to value.

Lovely setting and the room was excellent. The check in is with a kiosk, not a favorite of any traveler. The breakfast offers a lot of choices and the coffee is good. What you don't anticipate is all the taxes local/state/resort fees that will add about $80 to your room per day.

The grounds, pool area (with pool, hot springs, cold plunge, and wet/dry saunas) and sheer beauty of the location views were simply amazing. The included breakfast buffet was typical continental with minor upgrades like hot dishes and great fruit bar was a nice perk. The room itself was rather dated and only had a small fridge (which was not working when we arrived-blown fuse). The fan was not operable and there was no microwave. It appeared as if they may be in the process of renovating rooms though. Proximity to Box Cañon Falls Park was great and you can walk around town. Despite some lackluster rooms, I will still rate this a great stay for couples and families alike. Winding down at the pool was a real joy with great pizza, great drinks, and views of the surrounding mountains that make the soul and heart grateful and at peace.

The rooms had a strong musty smell, likely because of the carpet and the lack of sunlight/airflow into the rooms, which made it feel like they never fully dried out. The pool and hot spring tubs were definitely the highlight of the hotel. If you do decide to stay, I’d recommend requesting a room closer to the pool area. We also had several issues with the staff due to being given incorrect information multiple times, and the mistakes were not handled well afterward. It may have been a training issue, but it resulted in us having to repeatedly go back and forth to the front desk over simple things like food orders and breakfast check-in. Better communication and staff training would make a big difference so guests don’t have to spend their time resolving avoidable issues. Would rate a 3/5 breakfast, cleanliness, and staff. 5/5 pool & tub.
