Property is located near Ueno station which gives access to many train lines including the Yamanote. It’s located in a quieter area but not far from some action.
Rooms were more spacious than expected. Beds were firm but comfortable. Breakfast had a nice assortment and great city view. The elevators were a little slow but would definitely stay here again.
The room was small but for the price, I think it was a fair value. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I loved the washer and dryer on site. Many restaurants within walking distance and 5 minutes walk to the train station. I'd stay here again.
The staff was super friendly and accommodating . The bar was nice especially with the free sake at 5:30 and a great view for relaxing and looking over the city. My only problem was the room was a little bit small for my taste but other than that a great time.
very clean hotel nice view from our room. staff were great. only issue was that we were 3 people in a room that i think was designed for 2. so there was only about a leg width between beds and hardly anywhere to put luggage etc.
The only thing unique was the location- east side of Tokyo and lots of train access and things to explore.
This hotel was about the worst I’ve ever stayed in. If you wanted your room made up they would only give you fresh towels. Beds not made. If you wanted bottled water( which you were supposed to get each day)you had to go down to the desk.. Girls at desk were extremely helpful for restaurants but we were told that there was a charge to your room if you requested that they call a cab or Uber.
The tiny lobby was loaded with suitcases behind a screen. Really a third rate place we would have vacated but we would have lost two nights payment.
Big disappointment and worst place we ever stayed unfortunately got an overrated write up.
This is a really nice hotel. It’s quite compact and doesn’t have a very big foyer but the rooms are really modern, simple and well maintained. Highlight for us was the 14th floor sky bar which has a fabulous view of the Skytree. When we were staying, there wasn’t a bar open but the staff left free sake and tea for the guests every night there, there was also free soba noodles each night and a flute soloist playing every Monday night. We thought this really went above and beyond for the guests. Really detailed check in and very knowledgeable staff too. Great location too, Okachimachi is right between Akihabara and Ueno there’s a metro station right outside and a JR yamanote line station 5 minutes away.
Great location! Very friendly staff, nice viewing floor with sake and soba, noce location close ro Ueno station and Ueno park and zoo. Useful when taking train to Narita
Staff are very helpful and would go beyond to help you out. The place is also very close to the station and about 8 mins from Ameyoko market. Overall we had a comfortable stay. I highly recommend the place if you stay in Ueno.
Wonderful hotel in easy reach of train station/metro station for exploring Tokyo. All staff very friendly and helpful. The night time ramen and sake was an added bonus.
Absolutely loved our stay at hotel MONday Premium Ueno Okachimachi ! The room was surprisingly spacious for Tokyo — we were even able to fully open three suitcases comfortably, which is quite rare. The view directly towards the Tokyo Skytree was beautiful, especially at night.
The location was also very convenient with a 7-Eleven right across the street. Every time we entered the hotel, we were greeted kindly by the staff, and we really appreciated being allowed to leave our luggage in the lounge before check-in.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and we would definitely recommend this hotel!
