The rooms are impeccably decorated, the service is excellent and the location cannot be beat. It is in the heart of down town Nantucket. The hotel’s restaurant, Sister Ship is beautiful with great food and drinks.
We went for a mother daughter trip and this property was beautiful. They have excellent staff and amenities. The Sister Ship restaurant was amazing and the ambiance was second to none. Cymbals for breakfast on the patio was perfect! If you want a wonderful Nantucket experience, I highly recommend!
Faraway was very nice! In the perfect location, the access to use beach chairs and bikes is so great! We would definitely recommend and stay here again!
Solid hotel with lively outside space
Check in/out tight and often long waits
A/C in odd corner of room so temperature not standard across room made for hot sleeping.
Flight got delayed a day so we stayed another night at the Greyson House. We have done dinner and drinks Via Mare many times in the past but our first hotel stay at the property. John who runs the hotel could not have been nicer and gave us a tour of the entire property which is absolutely stunning. Via Mare is a separate operator inside the hotel and is open 5 days a week. To address the closure days the hotel is opening the most amazing bar and lounge adjacent to the hotel. It is literally stunning. Can’t wait to return and stay at this property. When open Via Mare is exceptional as well. Rooms are beautiful!!
Highly recommend the Faraway hotel for anyone staying in Nantucket for their first time. Perfect location walking distance from basically everything including Brant Point Lighthouse! Beautiful and clean rooms with a charming vibe.
The room I got was relatively small for the price, but you do know that in advance. They have different bedding options. It was clean and air-conditioned and had everything you needed. My only complaint was dim lighting in the bathrooms, but otherwise it was a great stay.
Cute dog friendly boutique hotel in the heart of town, super convenient and vibey. Service is very “hands off” so don’t expect anyone to go out of the way for you. Rooms had very thin walls and you can hear everything including neighbours and street noise. The restaurant and patio is very nice for a sit welcoming guests outside the hotel as well. It would be nicer if it had more of an intimate personal hotel feel for guests with special perks or discounts on drinks / food. Quite overpriced for what you get but that is the island overall.
The Faraway was a very beautifully appointed Boutique hotel and we loved our stay here. The rooms are small especially if you have large suitcases but very charming and the courtyard is a really fun place to hang out. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Nantucket. The staff were a little unresponsive and often seemed to be unsure how to help. One day our room was not made up despite us being out all day. Otherwise I highly recommend the Faraway, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We had a great time. The hotel is located perfectly in downtown with excellent workability. The staff is amazing and the amenities are fantastic. Would definitely stay there again.
