Mario and his brother Gabrielle that run the hotel were very nice and helpful! Housekeeping everyday kept the room clean and smelling great. Everything renovated and modern, air conditioning worked well, tv has Netflix, and the hotel is very centrally located to everything. Less than a 10 minute walk to get away from super touristy food, 20 minute walk to the train station.

We had a wonderful stay in the family room. That was very good size with kitchenette. Both Gabriel and Mario are amazing hosts along with Fabrice. The service from entire staff was exceptional- five star experience. Location of property is great and very safe and vibrant.

This hotel is centrally located in the heart of historic Firenze!! While the rooms are small they are perfect for what you need after a day of sightseeing. The beds are comfortable, the room was clean and the staff was absolutely wonderful. With a sweet breakfast included I loved everything about this place. I will stay here again for sure when I return to Firenze in the future.

The Hotel Santa Croce is owned and managed by two brothers Gabriel and Mario who are lovely and treat you like family. It was our second stay and we cant wait to return. Go to the restaurants they recommend!! We stayed in the studio off the main property and it felt like home - like we were truly Florentines. The hotel is located steps from the church of the same name where Galileo, Michelangelo, and Fermi, are laid to rest. Tour it! Gorgeous. Although its a very busy bustling neighborhood, we slept very well and got up ready for touring each day! Very walkable to the Duomo and the Pontevecchio Bridge in Florence. We will see you as soon as we can, Friends!!

Great location, we stayed in the Annex building. Very modern, clean, spacious. The lady at the front desk was so nice and super helpful. The only complaint I would say - and it seemed to be similar in other places in Italy - was fire safety. We got one key for our room, and the entry door to the apartment doors had a lock. If you are inside, you cannot leave without a key, which sometimes felt unnerving when my partner left with the keys. Luckily, no emergency happened, but would be helpful if they had an "escape" button for emergencies or just exiting without a key.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. It was spotless, very comfortable, and truly felt like a home away from home. The apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed and was very well maintained. The location was excellent, safe, convenient, and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and other attractions, which made getting around very easy. Everything was exactly as described, and we were extremely satisfied with our experience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, cozy, and welcoming place to stay.

What a delightful stay. The owners and staff take such pride and delight in their city and are quick to offer advice on places to visit. The location makes most destinations walkable. Their advice on restaurants was spot on! The only downfall was no elevator, but with the history of the building, it is understandable. We can’t wait to return. Highly recommend Hotel Santa Croce.
