Die Bavariaoberhalb der Theresien Wiese ist die weibliche Symbolgestalt Bayerns. Die 18,5 m hohe Statue wurde von Schwanthaler geschaffen und 1850 eingeweiht. Die Figur ist innen hohl und ein Treppe führt bis in der Kopf. Dort befindet sich ein kleiner Raum mit drei Öffnungen für den Ausblick.
