The best part about the W is the amazing sandy beach with gentle waves and the friendly staff. The rooms are nice but nothing special. The food was better than I expected! A great breakfast was included. I would go back. A great value for the price!
We stayed in an ocean front suite and it was awesome.
Try the matcha fish tostada, its incredible. Dinner at rubra is a cant miss, and we loved the spa. We also saw whales breaching every day-- just siting on the beach watching! Loved it here
Service was outstanding. Setting is unique, part jungle part beach. Beach is beautiful, the sand is soft. Waves are calm. Saw whales! Great for kids and walking. Pools great.
Resort food is expensive, cocktails are $20.
Room is nice, although bathroom is not very well lit. Loved the double sinks.
Loved the W Hotel it was so relaxing , the people who work there are super friendly amd knowledgeable about the area . Breakfast was so good and lots of options !

It was a beautiful property with great food as well as the location. However some things such as towels are a bit old and furniture looks like it needs replacement.
Loved this property, we would definitely stay again.
One thing to note, the food is extremely overpriced and mediocre.
There is one restaurant in the property that was extraordinary and although very expensive worth every penny, it is called Rubra and it is one of the best meals I’ve had in Mexico.
Friendly staff. Good food and drink options. Excellent variety of gluten free food options with knowledgeable staff on allergy requirements. Rooms are a little funky with limited bathroom privacy. Double room had limited storage but king room had plenty of space for stuff. Beds were comfy. Property is spread out but they do offer golf cart shuttle.
The hotel is beautiful and located on a perfect beachfront. The lead up is a 'no-eggs-allowed' cobblestone drive.
Room: We booked a ground level beachfront with a yard, plunge pool, deck chairs umbrella, fire pit with seating with access to the adult pool and beach. Room was large and clean, but not ready for our party. More later. The shower/bathtub is fully enclosed and has floor to ceiling glass facing outside, with a remote controlled privacy blind, and same (with door) on the inside. This does not offer privacy on the inside but families may not care. Plunge pool was fun for a day, but not fun alone (sulk). Toilet is separate and door closes fully.
Food: The 3 restaurants had decent (if pricey) food and the gem of the three was the Spice Market (try the samosas and catch of the day). While the food was good, for the cost, only Spice Market was worth it and it would have been cheaper to rent a car and drive to town (Bucerias, Sayulitas, Puerto Vallarta) to eat.
Staff: Hotel staff were wonderful and helpful without being obsequious. Always the highlight of a stay for me.
Back to room: We booked a month in advance for a party of three. Two adults, one child. We get to our room and no sleeping arrangements had been made for our child. It took over 90 minutes to sort out, with the staff on duty telling us we would have to pay extra for a bed... When we were in the room... After check-in... With a one month lead time.
It was sorted out eventually.
