This is our 2nd trip to Cozumel and our 2nd time to stay at Iberostar Waves. This stay was like our trip in 2019...everything was perfect! The check-in was seamless, the waiters/waitresses and bartenders are phenominal. The food was delicious as was the drinks. Our only disappointment was the shows at night :/

Been coming here many years. Location how it blends with nature. As a scuba diver we are very close to excellent dive sites. Short boat rides. Entertainment is wonderful. Food selection is never the same night after night, like some resorts. We will be back

We loved this resort! The beach and pool were wonderful, the food was delicious, and the drinks were plentiful. We love that we don’t have to make reservations at the specialty restaurants and can go unlimited times during a stay. The kids (teenagers/young adults) loved the activities from rifles/archery to volleyball and that there was an award ceremony daily. The diving was amazing, as always :)

Loved it here very serene and peaceful BUT must love wild life . Peacocks and Coati abound , the Coati will come into the restaurants and to your balcony. They are friendly and want to be fed, but they can be overwhelming. So if you’re not an animal lover, he warned. The pool is nice, but any poolside drink service is nonexistent.

Beautiful campus with separate buildings for the entry/lobby, restaurants, services and entertainment in a well groomed jungle setting. Guest rooms are arranged with just a few rooms per building and everything connected by winding sidewalks. The large pool is surrounded by palms and divided in half by a swim up bar with seating on both sides. There are plenty of loungers surrounding the pool and on the beach and we didn't have problems finding a spot. Food and drinks did not disappoint, and the entertainment was better than I expected. The location is miles from town and the cruise ship traffic, but close to the reefs for dive trips directly from the resort.

The food and service was amazing. Some of the best meals I have ever eaten. Great selection and freshly made. Staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Room and all other areas were clean and well maintained. Air conditioning was spot on and very hot showers. Bring lots of insect repellent because the mosquitoes are vicious. Beach was nice, lots of sea grass but was able to swim in the ocean. It was cleaned up to the best it could each morning. The bars…if they had top shelf liquor it would be a 10/10. It was good but some higher end labels would make it better. Other than that it was an amazing experience and will definitely go back.

Pros: Wonderful staff. Dinner options were good. Room was small and simple but comfortable. Bed was comfortable. Ocean was nice and calm. Felt safe. Cons: Breakfast and lunch buffets were not very good. Same options every day and just not very good. Water stations not cleaned regularly. Bird crap on ours, so we cleaned it after seeing it there for a few days. Water stations not all kept full. Grounds were a little confusing to navigate. Entertainment was hit or miss. Tons of wildlife. Great place if you don’t have high expectations.

I can't recommend Iberostar Cozumel enough! Every one of the staff was excellent from check-in to check-out. My partner and I had a great snorkeling experience with the dive center, and I also had a massage in the spa, which was super relaxing and much needed after not having my luggage for almost two days before it was delivered! Jordan was our initial contact person with concierge services and was very kind and helpful. Everyone was wonderful, and the entertainment/singers were fantastic. I highly recommend the rock show and boogie nights! The nature and sustainability elements were quite evident throughout the resort-a big plus that influenced my decision to book there. The only drawback was the prevalence of mosquitos, so pack accordingly and bring lots of bug repellent and you should be fine!

You cannot fault Iberostar.. the beach entrance to the water is a little rocky until your out a little ways, so a pair of water shoes or your flip flops are advised.. but you can always use the pier to enter.. pack light, this is a very casual place.. don’t use the shuttle service.. there’s a taxi service just outside the airport to the right. short walk with your luggage, but will cost you half what you pay isle using shuttle service or taxi from the airport.. have fun
