The only good thing is it in the park. The restaurant was awful and ran out of things as time went on. Every time we received our food it was incorrect. The rooms were filthy. The carpet was dirty and I asked 3 times for someone to clean it. For the price it should have been much better and have more convivences (tv, internet, refrigerators and microwaves).
Our cabin was perfect, we woke to 4 deer out the picture window on the back of the cabin. The sunrise view over Lake Yellowstone from the lodge porch was magnificent. Staff were so friendly and welcoming.
I spent a great week at the Lake with my dad. The cabins are easy to get to and park near the entrance. My dad enjoyed walking the area and taking photos. You can get to the canyon in 20 minutes, old faithful in 40, down to Grand Teton in an hour, and up to Mammoth Hot Springs in 45 minutes. Yellowstone is amazing and this sits right in the center. The accomodations are typical for a national park. No TV, standard tub shower. The water was always warm and sufficient. Good mattresses.
Lodge itself was nice! Dining menu could be better. Our sheets didn’t seem fresh/clean. Dresser drawers wouldn’t stay closed. Bathroom was updated and clean!

Very unhappy about the food service. Could not get a reservation in dining room (although I tried 90 days, 60days, and 30 days prior) until 10:00 pm. Much too late for us. The canteen had almost nothing to offer. Most menu items were no longer being offered. Expensive but crummy.
We stayed in a cabin at Lake Lodge. Very friendly staff and location in yellowstone. No tv. Beds were comfortable but fitted sheets did not go to the end of the bed.
Bathroom was clean. Lights were an issue. Light over bed did not work. Bathroom lights needed to warm up before they were bright enough to see. Even with these issues, it was a nice place.
The cabins were very clean, good showers and comfortable beds. So the place itself was great. I wasn't aware there was no wifi, refrigerator, microwave or TV. We were working on vacation so no wifi was an issue. No refrigerator meant we had to throw out some things from the cooler and couldn't save on meals like breakfast. So that's something to be aware of. No TV meant we read - no biggie. Just be aware of really "unhplugging" when you book.
We had a great time at Lake Lodge, sitting on the rocker filled porch, drinking beer, looking over the beautiful lake and mountains. Friendly staff and fellow travelers. Our cabin was comfortable and relaxing. Will advise others to stay there.

The cabins are poorly maintained. Restaurant on site is basic fast food. No sound proofing with adjoining cabin.
Lake view from the lodge is beautiful.
The property was cozy cabin feel, clean, staff was great, Lake front was gorgeous. The only bad thing was their food was terrible and they were out of everything, like no milk, bacon, cold BLT sandwiches with no bacon? Is this normal for Aug. 24th? Would we stay there again? Yes we would, it’s a Cabin !! 😄
Property was nice, and convenient for visiting the park, but the dining options provided by Xanterra (the ONLY concession options in the entire park, mind you) were quite limited and out of many food options. This was in the middle of August - the "high season" for Yellowstone tourism.
The exorbitant pricing on the remaining food items that were available was also impossible to avoid.
Finally, the property had only two locations for ice and water, but the sole location closest to the majority of the cabins was "out of order." Poor maintenance, obviously, for a standard hospitality item.

Very disappointed in Hotels.com
I could not make my stay. I purchased the trip protection from hotels.com. I had booked two nights and it was my understanding with that policy I would have to pay for one night but the second would be refunded.
