Dishwasher needs help. Dirty dishes dirty in inside shelfs upon arrival. We never had clean dishes.
We love the house & setting. Perfect scene everywhere. Needs more space in downstairs Bed Rm. we had 4 young adult ( 21, 19, 18,17 ) all big boys. Crowded!!! It is a nice home & Carl went above & beyond! for us. The TV needs ti be simplified w/ instruction.

Moms 80th birthday

4th of July stay
The house is in a great location between Santa Cruz and Monterey with exceptional ocean views. Great communication with everything that the house has to offer. We got to check in a little bit early, thank you Carl. Other than the couch is a bit uncomfortable, everything the house has is perfect along with an extra fridge in the garage for our large group. We did bring air mattresses to accommodate the extra sleeping arrangements. Thank you again!

Relaxing Getaway
My entire family had such an amazing stay. The property is exactly as described and pictures do not do the view justice. There is not direct beach access from the back of the property. However, that is not an issue as the entire neighborhood is beautiful and it is just a short 3 minute walk to the sand/beach. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the comfort of the living room and amazing breakfast views from the dining room table. Kitchen also had everything we needed for cooking, and even baking, during our stay. Beautiful home and location. And would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Beach House
Spent the weekend to celebrate our kids birthday and we could not have asked for a better location! Teenagers were busy from all day, Hanging at the beach, playing tennis, basketball, volleyball, all right on site! Then at night so much space in the house, they played games until the wee hours of the morning without my Husband and I even being bothered because the house is so BIG! Carl was an incredible host, communicated beautifully for check in and out. Couple questions while we were there and he responded immediately! We will absolutely be Back😊

Amazing view and comfy beds!
Such a beautiful home. The views from the patio are stunning. Sitting out in the chairs and watching the waves was our family's favorite past time. The beds are amazingly comfy. The property management responded to our inquiries quickly and were very friendly. The inner courtyard was serene and a great place to relax.

Perfect long weekend
My title comes with a small bias as the time spent at House 48 was my wedding weekend. So, me, my (now) husband, and 6 of our friends stayed at this property for 4 days/3 nights. This house is HUGE with the most epic view through the full wall windows along the back of the house. There was plenty of space for us all - never feeling like you were on top of each other and many spaces to find some seclusion, if needed. The house was clean and well equipped. One small disappointment was that the house does not have direct access to the beach - right outside the back is a large wall of rocks that are dangerous to climb, obviously, so you instead have to utilize the stairs available a short (3-4 minute) walk down the road. Communication with the property manager was pleasant and easy. We never had any issues. Of note, we couldn't find any trash or recycling bins near the house so we had to haul any & all garbage to the center near the front gate. No big deal with a truck. Thanks for the stay! We'd love to come again in the future!

Absolutely perfect seaside retreat
Our family stayed here to celebrate my mother-in-law's 80th birthday. There were 6 of us, including 1 person with a walker, and an 11-year-old. The home was absolutely perfect for all of us. The setting and view is positively otherworldly. A panoramic view of the ocean greets you as you walk in, and you can hear the waves crashing from all of the 4 bedrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed, as we cooked heavily and ate all our meals in the home. The kitchen was stocked with appliances, cooking utensils, serving bowls, and almost every conceivable type of drinking glass and dish imaginable. The pantry had lots of spices, along with sugar and cooking spray. The home was very clean, and furnished with all kinds of extras to really enhance your comfort: Cushions for all the outdoor loungers, blankets for sitting outside, an enormous working fireplace, TVs, a game cabinet, magazines, and helpful notes throughout the house. We played ping pong and foosball in the garage with out kiddo every day. There was also every manner of beach gear imaginable - chairs, beach toys, a wagon to carry it all across the sand, wet suits, boogie boards, I think I even saw surf boards. They really did think of everything. Carl, the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful, and provided very good tips and guidelines prior to check-in. He also checked in on us via text, even though he was out of the country, and was available via text throughout our stay. We had the good fortune to see a pod of dolphins swimming in front of the house, and a playful sea otter right off the beach. Accessing the beach was very easy and convenient via the stairway at the end of the driveway. We are already planning our next stay here. It is absolutely perfect — peaceful, beautiful, indulgent, relaxing. Everything a seaside getaway should be. This special place has cast its spell on us.

Great family stay
We had a great time! The house had a perfect view of sunsets and birds and beach. The kitchen was well stocked to cook every meal and it was great to have a dishwasher. Kids enjoyed foozeball and ping pong in the garage. Being a belt to park in drive way made loading and unloading easy. It wasn’t warm enough for swimming but wr enjoyed digging in the sand for crabs and clams.

Beautiful house on the beach!
This was, hands down, one of the most beautiful places we have ever rented. The house is a bit outdated, as are most of the houses in this complex. But it was far made up for in convenience to the beach, stocked items in the kitchen, LOADS of kids toys in the garage (seriously, no need to bring anything), and the wonderful communication from Carl. Even though the weather was not wonderful (this was the first October in 8 years we had seen rain) we still had so much fun at the beach and in the house. The 6 kids we were with had plenty of space to run around when it was raining outside. We will definitely be back!!

The pictures and description of the property amenities were right on target. 4 bedrooms and a great room that can easily accommodate a large family. Karaoke, beach, pumpkin patch and tons of fun! We had a few logistics questions for the property manager and he responded right away. Already planning for a follow up visit in 2022.

The house is located right on the beach, with great views. The house is a little rundown and need better housekeeping. We found ants, spider webs, and dust and dirt around the house, we didn't feel the house was cleaned. We had 2 infants and did not feel it was clean enough for them to crawl around. Hope they keep up the maintenance on this house because we will definitely be back. The owner was friendly, and great at communication and gave us thorough instructions

Everything about this home was perfect. Right on the beach, amazing views, incredibly spacious home, modern bathrooms and kitchen, walking distance to basketball courts, tennis courts. Parking is located right on the driveway, so everything was just convenient! Every room had a bathroom which was much appreciated! The owner was also very responsive.

The location is amazing and the house has a garage full of wonderful toys for both sunny and rainy days. The family loved the location and the garage. The Host is beyond fantastic and responded to every question. As noted by other reviewers, the house is dated and sorely in need of renovations (especially the couch!). There were not enough towels so we resorted to using beach towels. The house needed a good cleaning and there were items that needed repairs. I have reported those to the Host. He will advise you that you have a starter supply of things like paper towels, tp, etc. My advice is to check into the house and do a review of these things and everything you may need to eat/cook. Other than salt and pepper, you have nothing to work with. If you are bringing a group, plan your recipes ahead and either bring things (spices etc.) or plan to buy them there. First, make your list, check out the two gas stations nearby, and then plan accordingly. We stopped at Costco after we landed and then visited the Safeway in Watsonville. This worked out pretty good but without the meal planning it would have been extremely difficult. Enjoy!

We enjoyed our trip greatly. The house is huge and had plenty of room for us to spread out. The views are amazing!! We saw dolphins, seals, and even whales!! There are a few areas where the house is dated, but it was comfortable for our needs.

You could not ask for a more beautiful location. The house is comfortable, but needs a few more bath towels and paper products. The living room sofa is old and is very uncomfortable for seating especially when you are older. Carl, the property manager, is very helpful. It was a good experience.

This place is amazing! The view is outstanding and the accommodations were perfect for us. We cozied up to the fireplace one night and on another night had a fire outside listening to the waves. The beach house is private but with immediate access to the beach. The only sound you hear is the rolling sounds of the waves. The amenities are aplenty and everything was clean and comfortable.

House 48 was awesome and the the view was perfect. The home came stocked with everything you needed and more for a nice family trip. Carl is great host and a his communication with me during our stay was on point. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking relax near the beach and spend quality time with family. Carl was very responsive. The view from patio and master bedroom was breathtaking. All the rooms/beds were very comfortable and includes a bathroom in each. The enormous entry way/hallway was perfect for the kids to just to do there own thing, while the adults occupied the LR. Only 2 downside were the trundle beds. They looked like they hadn’t been touched in awhile. So we were skeptical of how clean they were. Luckily, we brought an air mattress. Kitchen is a tad small for such a big place but pictures did show all and was true to size. We enjoyed the stay and will return for longer next time. I would still rate this at 5 stars!

This home boasts unparalleled ocean views. The master bedroom is particularly stunning. All the bedrooms are comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed many delightful evenings around the wood-burning fireplace. The back patio works great for al fresco dining on windy evenings.

Great property , right on the beach. Short walk on wood path to beach access. House was excellent . Ping pong, foosball table. beach chairs toys and portable fire pit . Comfortable beds and bathroom in every bedroom . Kitchen great all utensil's you need , 2 refrigerators, barbeque grill. Large dinning room table. Wonderful teak chairs on patio overlooking ocean. This beachfront property has a great view but you have to walk to a stairway to get down to the beach. With little kids ages 7-3 years old And all the beach chairs,toys, and umbrellas this made it very hard The bathroom cabinets were not well stocked with towels, the kitchen refrigerator didn’t keep very cold,WiFi was sketchy Carl was a great manager and communicated with us as needed.

Great Vacation Spot
The property is right on the beach and the deck was our family's favorite part. As a family of 12 we could all sit on the deck and look at the ocean every night. We even got a couple sunsets! Carl, the property manager, is very responsive. He made sure everything was okay via text upon our arrival and even when we left something at the property, he went above and beyond to make sure we got it back. It was a great vacation!

best weekend ever!
The family gathered here for a weekend full of fun. We spent the time walking on the beach, going to the aquarium in Monterey, playing tennis and basketball. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is right on the beach with easy access and steps from the tennis and basketball courts. Everyone had so much fun they all can't wait to come back.
