This is a very special hotel in terms of customer care and comfort as well as being in a superb location. The room facilities were ideal for our needs and meticulously maintained. The rooms are small but we managed for the two of us and our luggage other then that it’s was an amazing location, a 1 min walk to the square and about a 4 min walk to water taxis. The breakfast included was great beds were comfortable and we would 100% stay again for the location and price.

Albergo San Marco was conveniently located close to San Marco with easy access to most locations within Venice. The room was spacious with minimal stairs on each level and a small elevator to access each level. Breakfast was good with extended hours which was nice when jetlegged! Highly recommend.

Really spacious hotel room with new facilities. The bed was large and comfortable. The shower was great albeit a bit small and there were large and quality towels provided. All the staff from the receptionists to the housekeepers and breakfast staff were lovely. Standard Italian breakfast was good but no variety day to day except for the cakes. Excellent location as well, walking distance to everything including bus stops. Good soundproofing so it wasn't too loud despite being in a busy alley. Only minor downfall is the paper cups provided in the room instead of real mugs/wine glasses.

We were over the moon when we arrived at the proximity of the hotel to St Mark’s square, the appearance of the building and reception area and the lovely welcoming staff who greeted us. After a delayed flight we felt we’d hit the jackpot. Our room was delightful and well glazed so there was no noise from the street below. It appeared to have been recently refurbished and boasted a super king size bed, lovely controllable lighting and a beautiful bathroom with waterfall showers. Everything was clean and well-appointed. The room was serviced daily while we were at breakfast and we returned to it looking spick and span. We had dinner in the hotel in the first night which was excellent with plenty of choice of traditional Italian dishes and wines at a very reasonable price. Breakfast was included in our deal and was delicious with a full range of cooked and continental options. The hotel was well-staffed and we were extremely well looked after, always with a smile and a warm greeting. The only thing I could fault about this hotel was the slight smell of drains in the public areas but not in the room or restaurant. Given its location right on the canal this wasn’t surprising. The thermostat in the room was also a little difficult to control. That said these were minor points and didn’t detract at all from a wonderful memorable stay. We will certainly return and will recommend to all our friends visiting Venice, in our opinion, the most beautiful and iconic Italian city.
