Perfect for Father and Adult Son
Fantastic location for winter sports enthusiasts. At 58 years old, location to chairlift/gondolas is a game changer. Also, access to the recreation center for Hot Tubbing and swimming helped these old knees out! Simple, Practical Tranquil and Accommodating best describe the Condo. Plus, the Host was accessible and helpful with our questions. Highly recommend it.

Coyote Fork Ski In/Out
Property is on Coyote Fork in the building closest to the Condo Run, so is very much a ski in / ski out location. You can literally look out the window and see the Village Express chairlift and the condo run (and the village run behind a few trees.) These condos were built some time ago (I want to say 1975?), so the units vary depending on when they were most recently remodeled. This unit was in good working order - perhaps last updated around 2000 (oven had a 25 year old serial number?) though furniture looked newer. Everything was clean; cleaners do a great job! Please do read the listing carefully - unlike any other location we've stayed, there was no shampoo or bath soap provided. There was a coffee pot, but no coffee (not even a partial open bag from a prior tenant...) Oh, as the last unit at the end of a bunch of stairs, you might want to consider driving down to the village for dinner (skiing back in isn't an option after the gondola closes down for the night) - there is free parking in the premium lots after 3 pm.

Property is located near the Vista Express Lift and Main Gondola. A "Ski Condo Run" is located directly behind the property and you can walk to the run and head to the main gondola. Other amenities such as boot dryer, easy parking access, excellent heater, comfy couch, and cozy bedroom, made this property excellent for a short stint at Northstar!

It was OK. The visit had a mix of pros and cons. Firstly, it's worth noting that the property is quite outdated, which might charm some guests but might not be everyone's cup of tea. A major issue was the bathtub faucet, which was already broken. The handle came off right in my hand, making it difficult to use. This is something that definitely needs attention. On the plus side, the property is affordable, and it's kept clean, with fresh linens provided. It's also a quiet place, which was welcomed. However, the furniture in the property is showing signs of wear and tear, and the rugs look like they've seen better days, with visible stains. There are a few burntout light bulbs. The master closet is full of odds and ends for the upkeep of the place, The fireplace was a cool feature however I did not use it. In summary, this property is a cost-effective and peaceful option. Just be prepared for some dated decor and a few maintenance concerns.

Relaxing, restful spot
We catered a wedding in Tahoma and stayed here after driving, shopping and prepping all day then doing the wedding. It was clean, peaceful, quiet and lovely Kitchen was well stocked and the big fridge was great

Small but functional condo
The place is in a great location for ski/bike access to Northstar resort. The listing says there is a pool and hot tub but these a very far away and cost an additional fee to use. That was a bummer. The place is very small so I would not recommend for more than two couples or a small family.

Amazing location!
My family of four just stayed at this property for four nights. Overall we were really pleased with our stay. Kiddos slept on the pull out couch which was kind of terrible/saggy, but otherwise everything was great. The bed was comfy and the room was really dark, great for sleeping. The boot dryers were so amazing and handy, as was the locker outside to store our skis and poles. The kitchen was well stocked and even had an electric water kettle to easily make tea and oatmeal. Lots of hooks just inside the door for hanging jackets and snowpants. And the location was amazing!! Was literally a 45 second walk from the door to the ski run. We try to stay on site at Northstar so we don’t hVe to deal with parking and preciously had stayed in the Village above the shops which was great, but we really liked this better. Also an easy walk to the Village via a path. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was convenient for getting on and off the slopes. The property was outdated, dirty and had a broken plumping fixture that even had a note above it drirecting you how to work the shower faucet. If the plumbing was updated and not broken then the note wouldn't have been necessarily. Activities center enjoyed by the homeowners should be included for guest who are renting. Was charged 10 dollars just to sit in a hot tube. Will not rent from same facility.

Northstar ski condo
The condo is in a perfect location for ski in and ski out. Communication with the owner was excellent. Condo is a bit dated but is very comfortable and well appointed with everything we needed for our 3 day stay. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Northstar during the winter.

The property was phenomenal. It is quite large inside (the photos don’t do it justice) and we found the space very clean. The heater worked great, there is a nice ski closet and the boot warmers were amazing. The location is unparalleled and being able to ski down to the chair lift was amazing. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back and book again.

Perfect ski in/ski out location
We loved it! This condo is as close as you can get to the condo/village run at Northstar. Just walk a few yards past the building and you are on the run. This condo had a good layout for our family, with bedroom and pull out sofa. Well equipped kitchen had everything we needed.

The location is tops! Hope right on the ski run to gondola! Very clean and tidy and super comfortable bed! The kitchen has everything you need for cooking! Nice fireplace but must bring wood! Definitely rent again!

Terrific place
First time we experienced snowfall. We loved the view from the window of the property as we could see snowfall and snow and folks snowboarding through the place. The ski place at Northstar is 5 min by car and is very convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the place. Tom was very clear in his overall communication. One suggestion: Fixing the TV to have wifi / wired internet connection would be great though there are many holiday movies as part of vintage CD/cassette collection.

Very convenient location and you have everything
It is the second time I stayed here for ski vacation. The best part is its location: inside Northstar village so we can access the Northstar resort by 11 minutes walking. I can also use recreation center parking if I drive my kids to resort. When the snow is good , we can ski down to Gondola. I also like the boots dryer overthere that you can dry your wet boots.

Quiet condo at the end of the road.
Nice place for a weekend retreat. Walk to Northstar center, i.e. restaurants, shops etc. 15 min drive to downtown Truckee. 20 minute drive to Lake Tahoe, North Shore. Bring all you need to cook with, I.e. spices, foil, plastic bags etc. well stocked kitchen. Range, microwave, knives pots, pans, baking sheets, bowls etc. bring spices, foil etc. might might have been the season, summertime, but was not well stocked for spices, foil, plastic bags etc. But overall nice quiet place to relax in.

Condo was what we expected. Clean, dated and small. The only bad thing was that the shower/tub doesn’t drain and there is no stopper for tub. So bathing child was frustrating. Frig went out third to last day. Ruined our left overs.

Great stay!
We were in the area for the weekend for a sports tournament. The property was perfect…quiet, comfortable, clean and with all the comforts of home. There were plenty of bed lines, pillows, clean towels and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the things we needed for cooking and serving full meals. (Except the food, of course!) We had a full schedule so we didn’t have the opportunity to make use of the recreational facilities, but passes were available. The owner mailed all important information including the parking pass ahead of time and we were all set for check in well in advance of our trip. He was also very responsive when I had a question during our stay. He was in touch very quickly and was friendly and professional. We very much enjoyed our stay and we would book this location in the future.

Great location, needs updating
The location is amazing, with close proximity to the slopes. Parking and getting in and out was very easy. Communication with owner was great as well. However, there was a piece of chicken left in a dirty pan in the oven. Space heaters were the only source of heat in the unit (no central heat). Overall feel of the place is quaint, but the property is very dated and there were spider webs in many places.

Fantastic location, condo needs updating and cleaning
The condo was a great location being so close to the slopes and allowing us to finish our day by just skiing back. The condo had some good amenities like the fireplace, great wifi, ski lockers, access to the rec center and boot warmers. However, a lot of the heating was coming from space heaters, the linens needed to be replaced, many dishes and cups were chipped and the place generally needed to be deep cleaned. I think with some refreshing, the place would be fine to stay at.

Cozy ski in ski out condo

Beautiful location
We really enjoyed our weekend at the condo. We went hiking right from the condo. We played cornhole and mini golf at the village at northstar. The condo wasn’t fancy, but had everything we needed for a great weekend.

Not a great experience
We first noticed the carpet was quite dirty. Then when we noticed the mouse droppings in the corners, and we contacted the host. To his credit he had a cleaning crew come the next morning to vacuum thoroughly (the vacuum in the closet was very old and appeared to be broken). We didn’t notice any more signs of a mice after that. Other than that we did have other things that made our stay less than great, including: The DVD player wasn’t working. The water coming from the bathroom sink got scorching hot whenever the dishwasher was running. There were holes in the couch and bedding. There wasn’t any hand soap in the bathroom or kitchen. There wasn’t any cleaning spray so we couldn’t properly clean the counters after cooking. The vent in the bathroom wasn’t working and there wasn’t a window either, so it got very steamy. No fans or AC, so hot in the summer. There were only 2 washcloths and 4 bath towels provided (we looked everywhere and couldn’t find any extras) even though the rental fits up to 5 people. The rental wasn’t horrible, but we won’t be staying again. It needs a lot of TLC!

Basic comforts in great location
We had a nice stay here. Some initial improvements are needed for guest staying here in the summer time (i.e., maybe a fan or two and screens on all windows) as there is no a/c and without window screens bugs fly in with the windows open. The bed is very comfortable and the location to the lake is great. The kitchen is decently equipped but could use some new knives and properly functioning equipment. Overall, we had a great time and would stay at this location again with a few minor adjustments.

The place is overall reasonable. Probably great in the winter, but not ideal in the middle of the summer. No AC or fans so it's entirely too hot to be comfortable in July. The shower head sprays water all over the bathroom and the exhaust fan in the bathroom doesn't work. Otherwise a fairly nice place in a great location.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this condo. We had a bit of a problem getting in with the lock on the door, but fortunately there was a lock box which had a key inside, so there was no problem. Only one suggestion... We were there a week ago and the temperatures were very HOT. Consequently, the condo was very hot. If there was a small AC unit (even a little free-standing one) it would have made our stay way more comfortable. Also, a good deep carpet cleaning would help... The rest of the cleaning exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be back - Thank you Tom!

Great location
Great location - ski in/out which made it all worth it. The condo is fairly clean but dated. Communication was great when we had a question about extra bedding. There was an old very rusty/gross grate/vent in the shower that should really be replaced. The couch is very uncomfortable to sit on but the pull-out was ok for our kid. One major issue we had was with the sports/rec center. The listing says that we would have access to pool/hot tub/sauna. When we arrived, I contacted the facilities as instructed and was informed that all services are by reservation only and to check on a website to reserve a time. Unfortunately there were no time slots left for the duration of our stay. It would have been good to know so we could make reservations ahead of time.... otherwise don't even think about hot tub/pool as a feature of this listing.

We love the location of this property!! We can definitely ski in and out. The condo was great. We contacted the Owner when the condo wasn't ready to check into when we arrived. He was apologetic and offered to compensate us, which I thought was very nice.

Perfect Getaway
Location is perfect — we could jump on the trails right outside our door. It’s nice and private with a view of the trail along the living room. Super clean and had all the amenities we needed to cook and relax at home after skiing all days. Easy walk to the village as well. Tom was very kind and super responsive. Highly recommend!!
