Surprise party
Overall a great stay. Plenty of room for all of our friends to enjoy the scenery. Got the best weekend some snow and then sunshine. The add says pet free but it appeared that animals had been there.

Beautiful Home!
This property is a great place for larger groups to relax and have fun. Love the pool table room with views out of three sides. The kitchen and main room are roomy, comfortable hang-out spots. We felt the home is clean and well maintained. Would happily stay here again!

Great Weekend!
This set-up was ideal for our group of 3 families with kids. We were in town for the rodeo and stayed some extra days to explore Tahoe with the kids. The house had plenty of space, toys, activities, etc. We could have packed less and would have been just as prepared for the weekend thanks to the house. Hope to come back soon!

Sleepless Nights
The wooden bed in the master suite was creaky & squeaky with the slightest movement; the couple who occupied it were exhausted during their stay. Two other bedrooms had such firm mattresses that people couldn't fall asleep. The thin mattresses covers on the beds are completely useless. Very thick mattress toppers and maybe a layer of foam are needed on the extra-extra firm beds. Better yet, throw out the uncomfortable mattresses. Otherwise, the house was good. But only two stars for the total package (because of the beds); wish I could rate it higher.

Fantastic Ski Weekend!!!
The bilevel house was perfect for our large group. My 80 yr old parents have mobility issues, so they were in the master bedroom on the main floor. Everyone else was comfortable downstairs. Each room has its own bathroom which is wonderful, but the beds are VERY firm. (There are three refrigerators and two ovens!) We cooked, sledded, skied, played in the Northstar Village and enjoyed pool and ping pong. It is the perfect house for active people! (The shuttle is free and came right to the driveway. Just get the app. It took 50 minutes on a Sat morning) (We brought our own firewood for a beautiful fire during the Superbowl!) We will return!

4 Family Ski Trip - Big Cabin
This cabin is very big and perfect for 4 families and then some. Kids had a blast, so did parents. On-call shuttles via app made it easy to ski w/o parking hassles. Daily driveway flows a plus. Grand Welcome (Property Manager) was not responsive at all. The cabin reeked of marijuana upon our arrival, the dishwasher would not work, the roof had a small leak and the garbage bin was full. I contacted them, waited 24 hours, contacted them again, and is essence nothing happened. Be prepared to bring foil, plastic wrap and any other kitchen item you might need. Basically nothing provided. Some of these things are out of control of Grand Welcome, but I expect a little more customer service when spending this much money. PS - you want an early check in or late check out, get your wallet out! We had BIG POW, so all good!

Perfect large group house!
This was a great house for our large group! We had five families with their kids and there was so much space that no one felt cramped! Lots of great entertainment for teenagers including the pool table and ping pong table. Plenty of room to cook and eat as well. Easy and quick ride to the village with shuttle service which is free. Highly recommend!

FAMILY REUNION
The area and the house itself was very nice, but the condition of the house was a little run down, and the house was not as clean as we had expected. Also had the carbon monoxide alarm go off for about 15 minutes, and could not turn it off. Did finally get a representative, but by then the alarm had stopped.

Gorgeous house
Truly a gorgeous house. The master bedroom and 4 full guest rooms really made it ideal for a large group like ours. The only thing I would recommend is a guest binder. There were a few things we had to figure out on our own like the shuttle bus app, and the garbage/dump. I don’t see anything that should deter anyone from booking this house.

Perfect for family trip
Our whole family rented this beautiful house for our ski trip this winter and we couldn’t be happier. The house what very clean and in perfect conditions. It is perfectly located close to the village with shuttle services and communication with the host was seamless. Will definitely be back!

Incredible Stay
This home lived up to expectations! Looks exactly like the pictures in person, and everything worked perfectly. The only minor complaint is that the beds are extremely firm, and a simple mattress pad could have made a big difference. But everything else was truly amazing and we will definitely be coming back in the future. Thank you for an unbelievably wonderful stay!

This home has a very nice feeling to it. With 5 master bedrooms and a kids room for 6, it provides just enough public and private space for all. Nice large dining room, great conversational living room, and fantastic feel. Close enough to NorthStar Village and Truckee to get all you need.

Wonderful family time together. Two cons are poor internet and the main deck was not clean. Overall it’s a nice neighborhood and a very spacious house. We had 8 adults and 6 children under 7. We would go back for sure.

Unfortunately, during the summer, the deck does tend to get messier than usual due to the weather changes and leaves. We do a sweep and clean the deck prior to arrivals but this has been unavoidable at times. We have noticed the slower speeds in the area due to vacationers "working from home". Regardless, we are thrilled to hear that you've enjoyed your stay and hope to host you again, thank you!

Perfect mountain vibe
Loved our stay here over New Years. Place is gorgeous and roomy and allows families to spread out. It's rustic and charming and feels like a private lodge in the mountains. Being able to walk to the Northstar Village and to the Ritz gondola is a wonderful convenience. While the glassware was a bit random, the dishes, cutlery, and pots/pans were high quality which is a real perk in a rental. Kitchen is spacious and lovely for families who center their activities around cooking (as we do). Only issue for us was that the upper deck was closed due to some maintenance which meant we couldn't use the outdoor grill at all which was a big bummer for us because we have a tradition of grilling for our New Years dinner :(.

Perfect for Large Groups
This property is more like a lodge than a cabin. We went with 5 couples and each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom was was a huge plus for picking this place. My only minor complaint is that the upper deck is currently under construction and isn't allowed for guest use (as it states in the listing). There is a lower deck that has the hot tub, but the barbecue is on the top deck which is locked. It would have been nice to use the grill for a few meals, but the kitchen stove top also has a gas grill that we were able to use. Plenty of games and activities to keep everyone entertained and we never really felt a need to leave the house during our stay. It was easy access to Northstar Ski Resort with a shuttle that picks up and drops off from basically the front door. The hot water was a little in short supply with as many people that we had using it, but the heated floors throughout the home made up for it.

Hi Meg, We sincerely apologize for the lack of response from our team. Our quality inspection team has double checked all the mentioned issues and have confirmed that everything is in working order. The fridge was recently purchased last year. It may take a while to cool to the desired temperature so save energy. All screen doors have been replaced & the BBQ has been inspected to work properly. The mattresses are firmer than usual because they are new & the owner prefers a firm mattress over a soft one. Unfortunately, wifi is spotty because this home is very big & it is located in the woods. Again, we are very sorry for all the issues but our team has ensured me that this will not happen again for any future stays. Thank you!

Perfect Tahoe Getaway
This home was absolutely perfect for a Tahoe getaway weekend for my father in-law’s birthday. We had a large group - and felt very comfortable in the space, with plenty of areas to spread out and relax. The house was very clean and absolutely gorgeous. Each of the bedrooms had their own full bath. The pool table was a wonderful addition, and helped us pass the time. Despite the rainy/snowy weather we felt cozy and entertained in our rental. Would definitely recommend for future trips - and especially for large groups.

This home was in a great location for our annual family ski vacation at Northstar. The decor, size and accommodations wonderful. Just one issue...the owners need to replace/update all of the bathrooms shower fixtures(shower head sprays all over, knob pops off) and very slow tub drains. Small fix to then be 5 star and absolutely perfect!!

Great house, great location, lots of (some small some not) issues.
Prior to booking this home I asked Rentl, the management company, if all of the complaints mentioned in previous reviews had been addressed. They assured me they had. As a vacation rental property owner myself I am keenly aware of minimum standards expected by guests of "luxury' homes. Upon arrival, it was clear to all of us these items had not been sufficiently addressed. In addition, there were other surprises that, although we really enjoyed the house, were irritants. 1. The kitchen was outfitted minimally and lacked sufficient glassware ( mainly wine glasses) and coffee mugs. Also, for a house this size, a second coffee maker and a larger than 2 slice toaster would be nice. Also, the two sided refrigerator only gets cold enough on one side in spite of repeated attempts to adjust the temperature. 2. We were never able to make music system work. Besides, it is old and has no blue tooth (who has CD's these days?). We had to use the TV cable music channels with less than adequate TV speakers. Also, a streaming device for the TV would be really helpful. 3.One of the biggest irritants was the (undisclosed) size of the bunk beds. We were a group of 15 adults. most of whom are 5' 10" or taller and these beds are clearly designed only for children as they are very short. We had to put mattresses on the floor for 4 of the group to be able to sleep. Be fore warned if your group is mostly adults. 4. Our biggest criticism is for Rentl, the management company. I called their customer service number soon after our arrival to request additional wine glasses and to find out about adjusting the refrigerator temp and making the music system work. I also sent an email. My call was never returned and an email response the next day initially refuted my claim about lack of glassware and coffee mugs and only when I insisted did Rentl agree to send someone over the next day! (half way through our rental period!). Clearly this house is suffering from neglect and is managed by a rental platform and not a real management company. Vacation rentals require owners and managers be proactive and anticipate their guest's needs. Rentl (and by extension the owners) are merely reactive and not in a timely way. This is not the way to make your guests feel welcome. Still, we loved our stay.

Amazing!!!
We rented this house for our family to stay at for the weekend of our wedding and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom attached (6 bedrooms), it was spacious and clean. The location was conveniently located to Northstar Village. Everyone enjoyed their stay and wants to come back already! I highly recommend this house! You won’t regret it.

Perfect Thanksgiving
Beautiful large home with pleanty of room for the whole family. We loved the fireplace, heated floors and the ping pong table. The only issue we had was one of the ovens didnt work which was difficult when cooking Thanksgiving dinner. But overall terrific house and we would definitely stay here again!

Wow! How could anyone find fault with this beauty!
I read the review, and 'yes' there were a couple tears in the window screens...most likely caused by bears or renters! Clearly the homeowners have spared no expense furnishing (Stickley!!!) or decorating their home. What an amazing home to rent, in a beautiful environment. We were celebrating birthdays with 4 other retired couples. Each couple enjoyed the privacy of their own Master Bedroom and bathroom. It's difficult to find property with those requirements, but that makes such a difference when you're friends, not family! If you wanted to watch football, you had space, How about pool, or ping-pong?...done! The kitchen was well-appointed. I read a review that there were too few wine glasses, so we brought our own. We kept ours packed in a box, as, literally everything we wanted or needed was available! Want a cozy fire? Plenty of chopped wood was available in the front yard. This lovely home is on a quiet street, with a short walk to the Village at Northstar. This was a perfect location for the 10 of us. If this home continues to be available, we plan to make this journey an annual event! A big 'Thank You' from all of us!

Love Northstar
We had a fabulous mini vacation in this lovely Northstar home. There was plenty of room for 12 besties! The views and surrounding areas were amazing. With that said, it was very sad to see that the owners have not taken care of this beautiful home. Doors did not work, screens were torn, one oven did not work, blinds were broken in several rooms. There is only one water heater (that we could find) for 6.5 bathrooms. The front door has a weird lock that does not allow you to turn the knob from the outside. This made it difficult to get in. Lucky for us, there was a door open. (Suggestion to management: make sure the button is engaged for the knob for future guests and a note in the instructions for the renters). The back deck is beautiful with a great teak table and chairs. However, it appears neither the deck or the table has ever been maintained...oiled. Having built and lived in Northstar and Truckee for over 15 years, it saddened me to see the lack of care. Would I go here again ? Heck yes!!!!

Great house... need some refreshing
We really enjoyed the house! We rented this for our small family wedding. The home is a mountain cabin mansion. The decor was beautiful, the furnishings and beds were cozy. There was plenty of storage. The decks and views tremendous. Two laundry rooms (one on each floor was perfect for our family gathering! The pool table room was a big hit for the men. The table in itself is gorgeous, a heavy carved slate table. The littles enjoyed having a bunk room and lots of room to play in the downstairs playroom. The kitchen had a lot of cookware although unorganized so some hunting had to be done. There are two ovens, microwave a huge cook top a double refrigerator freezer and huge pantry. There is also a wet bar. I suggest you bring your own glassware as they were short on that. The 4 car garage is equipped with one full upright freezer and another new refrigerator freezer. There are tons of ski/snow equipment supplied as well. Now for the reasoning we rated this 4 stars. Not all windows had screens. It was warm and with no AC, more fans around the house should be provided. A few of the doors had closing and locking issues. When we first arrived we could not get in the front door so had to call rentlever and they instructed us to a side door and lock box. The silverware was really large and hard for most people. The second day there we had our vacation interrupted by strangers who didn’t identify themselves. They said the owner called them, the house was not occupied and to check to see on some bear entrances in the house. The man refused to show my husband ID and pushed past him saying he knew the garage door code. He entered the house and went straight to the fridge opening it and closing it around 5 times. I asked what he was looking for and he said bear. I said I think you are being nosy. After we called the rental co.and waiting about 2 hrs. We were told the owner didn’t know his house was rented and asked this couple to come check for a bear break in. This was nearly a deal breaker for me but glad we hung in. There is a big bear pee in the downstairs hall. Vacuums don’t work well. The house was not cleaned to my standards. Counters dirty, fridge had fingerprints, mustard spill on the floor. The stereo system is an antique and does not work. There needs to be user guest instruction book out in the open with the passes to the rec center, amenities, nearby restaurants etc. Over all its great If refreshed!

Great family reunion site
Our family used to have a house in Lake Tahoe growing up and wanted to have a reunion in Tahoe and this place worked perfectly. There was plenty of room for our large family. The kids loved the pool table, ping pong table, and hot tub. The large deck was so peaceful at night with a beautiful view. There is a trail to walk down to the North Star Village which we did one night. It was family night on a Friday night and was a blast for the kids and the adults! A very short drive down to the lake during the day was nice. We stayed here during the World cup and there were tvs everywhere so we didn't miss a second of the game. This place was an amazing place to stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. The only thing that could be improved are the beds downstairs. They were very uncomfortable, pretty hard to sleep on. Sofa seemed more comfortable. My nine year old daughter even complained about the mattress. Outside of that the place was phenomenal. Thanks for letting us stay there!

House is great size but needs maintenance
This is a tough review to write. The layout of the house was absolutely perfect for our family reunion and the house itself is beautiful, but it several issues that we had to deal with, which is the last thing you want to do while you are on vacation. The jacuzzi wouldn't heat up, and a tech was sent out to fix it but it needed a part and they couldn't get it until the day after we left. Also, the tech said the jacuzzi was dirty and he spent his time there cleaning it. The refrigerator temperature gauge was at 55 degrees and we couldn't fix it (food needs to be 34-40 degrees) and we had to move all the food to the garage refrigerator to save ourselves from getting a food-borne illness. BTW, Rentlever, the Property Management Co. knew about this from a previous renter complaining and did nothing about it, or at least let us know so we could have used the other frig from the beginning. One of the ovens didn't have buttons, so it wasn't functioning at all. The dishwasher was functioning, but the wheels kept popping off and the overhead sprayer fell off. All but one pool cue didn't have tips and there wasn't any tools to fix them with the kit that was provided. Both decks that we used; the main deck and the jacuzzi deck were filthy, I had to sweep both the deck and the rails but it didn't do much, it need to be cleaned with a pressure house. Also, we couldn't even use the cushions for the outdoor furniture since they weren't stored properly and they were filthy too. I addressed all of these issues with the Property Management Co. The inside of the house was clean and well-stocked. Again, the layout and size of the house was great, I think that if some of these maintenance issues are addressed, it could be a perfect rental.

One word...LOVE!
Beautiful home with breathtaking views! Was the perfect place for me and my family to celebrate my moms 70th! She was so surprised and we all had a blast! The house has everything you need! Very spacious! Clean bedding, plenty of rooms and bathrooms! The jacuzzi only worked the first night but the had someone out to fix it the next day! I would definitely recommend this home!

Gorgeous home; rental company left a lot to be desired
First off, this home is gorgeous and well located. But after we arrived and found ants crawling all over the kitchen, we were surprised to be told that we needed to uploaded photos to the rental company's website before they would consider addressing the problem. By the end of the stay, we felt like we were house sitting— we reported a roof leak and an issue with the fridge (that spoiled all of our food). It seems like this is a new listing. If they can work out the kinks, I am sure it would be a really great option.
