The Ramada is a Del Rio staple but is in dire need of modernization. It does the trick for a good place to rest, sleep, shower, grab a drink from the attached White Horse Lounge and get food at the attached Malinda restaurant. Expect no frills or a big wow factor.

Older motel. Room smelt awful, wasn’t what I would call clean. Homeless hanging out in the lobby heckling me for money anytime I would attempt to get drinks from the only working vending machine in the lobby. Pool was nasty hot tub green. Kids were super disappointed they couldn’t swim. Family’s were crammed in eating food and drinking alcohol didnt feel safe. Came back the next morning to their food all over the floor and in the pool with questionable things floating around. Would not stay again.

Second time staying here. The 1st time was in a newer part which was nice. This 2nd time they put me in a section that was not updated like the other bldg. It was old and didn't fill as enjoyable and nice like the 1st time.

Sleepless in Del Rio

The walls are thin, and the hotel was quite noisy, from footsteps upstairs to people talking in a normal voice next door (but still quite audible in our room) to people banging on the door of the room next door at 3:00am. We got very little sleep.

Terrible, do not stay here.

Did not check in. Lobby renovation. Did not feel safe. Dog feces around pool area. We tried to cancel reservation before 6:00 but was told no. This hotel would not give any accommodations. Hotels.com did not address the concerns. This is definitely not a 3 star hotel.

This property appeared to have been renovated. From the exterior, it was very attractive. The bedroom area was clean and attractive, but the bathroom looked dirty. The top screw of the curtain rod was pulled out of the wall on both ends, and I could not keep the shower curtain closed. It allowed water to leak out in the floor. The bathroom was cramped. You had to crawl between the sink and the toilet to open or close the bathroom door. One night, the fire alarm went off three times, starting at 1:30 in the morning. After the 2nd time, I called the front desk and the night clerk said she didn’t know what was going on. While we were on the phone she announced that the fire department was arriving. The 3rd time it went off, my husband got up, got dressed and went up to the front desk. The clerk said the fire department had checked things out and found nothing wrong. On Saturday night, the music from the club was so loud that you could hear it in our room until around 2:00 am. We will not stay there again.

I did not like the fact that none of the lamps worked in my room nor the TV. Only the mirror at sink and bathroom light worked. I found a plug hanging out the wall by the night stand. This hotel is going through some renovations right now and the contractors are cutting corners. The plug was not only hanging out the wall but texture was all over plug including the carbon dioxide detector that was plugged in that I doubt Works due to Condition it's in. I brought is up to the front desk about the problem no apology did not seem to care about it. The breakfast was not very good food just sitting out in warmers no one came up to me and offered anything to drink had to ask. Will not be staying here ever again. I have pictures of the plug hanging out the wall with texture on it. I will gladly send them to who ever would like to see.
