Parking garage needs more lighting and parking stalls need to repainted. Random people loitering in parking garage all times of the day (safety concern)

As for the smell, we have installed UV lights in each room to eliminate the mold smell. We apologize for any discomfort you may have experienced during your stay. Reasonable price and friendly service. Hotel needs some maintenance in and out. Parking lot; fire exit; escalator all need to be repaired or cleaned. Room is clean but details are not there. Bedding looks unprofessional done.

I wanted to give this hotel another chance since I stayed there over a year ago. I thought by this time, issues would have been addressed and taken cared of. I was wrong. The hotel is generally dirty with stench of mold and stains all over glass, wood, tiles and marble surfaces. The housekeeping is terrible. Long hairs can be frequently after the room is serviced. I can clean the mirror better! And dust on surfaces is a common occurrence. Maintenance people are doing construction starting at 9AM. Couldn’t sleep in with the noise. Escalator going up to the lobby doesn’t work. Only 1 of the 2 elevators work. Never again.

The first night, there was a strong odor from, perhaps, the drainage. It smelled like from a sewer line or septic tank. The water heater was not working and was fixed after my third day of stay. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. One gentleman coordinated with the maintenance to check our rooms and remedy the issues.

This resort is a diamond in the rough. Needs a little improvement. Overall loved our room, except the 3 large roaches we had to kill, was very comfortable. Water was not hot. The only restaurant was Tony Romas. The hotel is pretty! Has lots of potential. No ice makers? Otherwise would stay there again.

Stayed at this hotel for weeks at a time between 1999 and 2004 and off and on through 2016. It had several on-site restaurants, convenience store, bridal shop, karaoke bar, and USO. Now, it seems somewhat rundown, even with new tile flooring in the rooms and fancy toilets and shower fixtures. Some signage still mention long-closed on-site businesses, escalators do not work, only one elevator seemed to work, at least 3 vehicles covered with dust appear to be abandoned on the fourth floor of the parking garage, and a trash pile on the north side of the hotel infested with rats can be seen from guest rooms. Faster and more reliable internet would likely increase stays by military personnel and contractors

The bathroom was beautiful! and My partner and I slept great throughout the night. Pillows were soft , bed was firm and had something similar to a weighted blanket. HOWEVER when i opened the drawer to put my things in , there was trash in there (possibly from previous customer) and hot water faucet was not working on the bathtub. There also wasnt a balcony , so we had to walk a good few minutes all the way to the garage (if someone needed to smoke). There is a good restaurant downstairs and a bar-cade (bar arcade). and the location is next to a few other restaurants and a store.

Staff was great and the room was nice and clean but the only thing I didn’t like was that the cable in my room wasn’t even working and I couldn’t connect to the Wi-Fi called the front desk and the lady was very nice she came up to the room and checked on it before the maintenance came and she stayed to see if it got fixed unfortunately it wasn’t something easy so I was left without a tv

I understand all my negatives are due to typhoon. Royal orchid hotel was once a gorgeous hotel. Tony Roma is an expensive restaurant, no breakfast place, parking is gravel, elevators were not working or very inconvenient. I didn't stay but 2nights so my review isn't too important....but you asked

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
the entrance is on the 1st floor and the check in reception is on the 2nd floor...the elevators were out of order...so you have to drag your luggage up the escalators piece by piece...the wifi is garbage...and for reason unknown to me they won't return my security deposit...avoid this place like the Bubonic plague!

Overall stay was great. hotel needs to update their lighting in the gravel parking lot and update the parking space as well instead of gravel, it should be paved. It is a very dark area and unsafe for guests to my opinion. The room was very nice tho.

Is this a nightmare?
I get it, just recovering from the Typhoon. BUT, if you’re not 100% ready then don’t resume operations. For the locals, it would be a perfect place until their power/electric was restored. For us vacationing, NOT the ideal stay! That said, their “reservation section” holding us to the entire stay and preventing us from canceling midstay because we found MANY hotels which were 100% operational, that’s simply bad business and says a lot about this hotel!!! The many issues were; very low water pressure (Shower & Tub), bugs flying around in the room, A/C lucky if it could cool the room to 75 (humid), main elevators (1of2) working, back elevators were sporadic, lobby had no A/C, and the free WIFI reception was simple horrible. The only positive. Most of the staff who did their best to make our stay bearable. All said though, we’ll NEVER stay there again and would never recommend others either!
