Thank you Shane. We walk down to Cinnamon in 20 minutes but the walk back up 7 switchbacks can be pretty brutal. Mostly we take the vehicle down and bring the coolers and beach chairs. Thank you all for choosing Island Stones. Vicky and John

Hi Dan and thank you for taking the time to review Island Stones. My family agrees and thinks there no better view anywhere. The original property was built in the late 60's on old St John. We made vast changes that may have given it a resort feel but hopefully in a good way. We'll do our best to continue with upkeep and service. Vicky and John

Hi Jennifer and thank you for taking time to write this review. As always, we take these seriously and will address every concern you have asap. Happy you enjoyed the new high chair and baby gates. Many villa owners send their guests to the baby rental place but we though that would be a bother for you. Our Great Room ceiling is brand new but perhaps the cypress made this room darker as well as having a dark cherry floor. This week we are putting in 8 new ceiling fans with much brighter led's in the Great Room and Game Room. We've also just shipped down 4 new floor lamps with 3 led's each so that these areas will be much brighter. Our Great Room furniture is all brand new and colorful. This coming off season we will consider whether to replace the cherry wood flooring with light colored coral tile. We do get compliments on the memory foam king mattresses but we will send down new cooling covers. The spiders sound awful. In over ten years this is the first we've heard that but will immediately meet with the pest control company that does our property to go over what they may be able to do. Thanks again Jennifer. We are saddened that you did not enjoy your stay at Island Stones. After talking with our property manager there must have been some confusion over maid, chef, chauffeur, and concierge services. These are not included in your rental as they are on some islands. The villa is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to and after the departure of each guest. If there is any issue noted on arrival, a cleaner is dispatched right away to take care of it. Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate but can be arranged via our property manager for as often as you like as well as chef and chauffeur/taxi services. Our property managers do their utmost best to accommodate guest requests for these services. Island Stones has 8 A/C units and unfortunately, from time to time, one will break. We have maintenance people on call who have them repaired within 24 hours, if possible, as was the case with your experience. Other maintenance issues, such as stopped up toilets are promptly addressed. It is helpful, however, if items that were not meant to be flushed are not put in the toilets (ie 2 whole rolls of toilet paper, diapers, etc) . After discussion with our property manager, she said “I was so sad that the review didn't have anything positive in it—the beautiful native stonework, the stunning views, the expansive outdoor areas, the classic architecture--not to mention great service from management in last minute and on the spot organizing the chef, the private land and water taxis, the masseuses (for all eleven), the volleyball at Cinnamon Bay, the boat trip to snorkel and visit to the floating restaurant, Lime Out, and the ocean racer along the north shore.”

Thank you for the fantastic review! Island Stones really is about that outdoor space and the one of a kind down island view. We're surrounded by national park so the view is almost entirely nature. I too love how the view changes throughout the day as you sit at the outdoor bar, lounge on the terrace or float in the pool. Come back soon!
