Staff was great but the room/bathroom were in poor shape. We had peeling paint on the walls, ceiling and even the tub. It just looked run down. Not the typical DoubleTree we’re used to.
Staff was helpful and courteous. Bar) restaurant needs help when events are happening inside the hotel.

Rooms old and worn. Door wouldn't shut unless forced. Bathroom tib was peel8ng. Took at least 10 minutes for water to get warm. Good note- staff were great. The staff at St. John's lounge were awesome
The hotel definitely needs some remodeling and upkeep. The carpet in the room was disgusting. The shower floors also looked had mold. With such a great location and view definitely some remodeling can bring it back to life food at the bar was surprisingly good as well as the drinks.
It's a beautiful place to stay with great staff and fun for everyone. Very comfy beds and lots of things to do close by. Will definitely be back 😁

Great staff and good cookies as usual. Had my wife's 50th birthday party and the food and beverage staff were great. Front desk staff were great while on site. For the price this location is run down much more than expected. Phone in room not operational, had to walk down the hallway to phone by elevator to call front desk. Carpet in room extremely warn, elevators were a worry, doors literally slammed shut, operational certificates were 2 years old in two of the three elevators. When calling in day prior to stay, was put on hold by front desk for 30 min, with them picking up multiple times to tell me that they were helping other guests; my question took 10 seconds to answer. View from our river room was great, location is great. Disappointed no airport shuttle is offered.
The front desk staff were nice and helpful. That was about the highlight of the hotel though. The rooms on the 7th floor are in desperate need of updating. The carpet is yuck- stained and dirty looking- we would not walk bare foot in our room. The bathroom vanity and cubby holes were extremely worn, the doorframes & wall were in need of patching and new paint (some rust showing through). The cookies that we look forward to at check-in were not fresh or tasty as usual. This was not a Hilton or Doubletree standard, and I have stayed at many of them. This hotel seems to be running off of name, location and Ruth Chris Steakhouse being onsite. Spend some money to update and clean it up, Hilton/Doubletree.
Beautiful location however the rooms were sort of outdated and the tv was out of service so we really didn’t have any entertainment in our room except our phones

Beautiful location staff throughout hotel was amazing
The best thing about the stay was the cookies and the view. The hotel is pretty old and needs a serious renovation. The carpet in the rooms are old, the bathtub is peeling. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room. I would not stay there again.
I recently stayed at the Double Tree by Hilton for work. The facility was clean; however, the rooms are a bit outdated. Staff was friendly and polite. Pool/patio area has a beautiful view of the bridge and riverfront. Overall, it wasn't a terrible stay.
The room was clean comfortable and well stocked. Checking in was smooth and easy, parking was expensive but non complicated. The only down side is they did not offer late check out when requested and you couldn't control your own room temperature.
Wonderful hotel, comfortable beds. Breakfast was beyond basic- I would recommend to skip and go elsewhere for breakfast. All food was previously frozen packaged from a basic shop. Nothing was in house cooked in the morning
Surprised, since hotel has a chef on staff.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Cons: older motel, no fridge/microwave in my room, slanted bathroom, stained carpet, small elevators. Pros: pool area, balcony, location next to river/riverwalk, Ruth-Chris Steakhouse inside hotel, friendly staff. Also, $25/day parking, overpriced $25 breakfast buffet. Owners need to spend money. Btw, I did see "Dog"Chapman and his wife there on July 4th, 2026
